Name: Evan Nathaniel Grim
Hometown: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Birthday: November 15
Zodiac sign: Scorpio
Fun Facts:
1. Evan says he resonates with his sun sign of Scorpio.
"While the sun sign is only one facet of someone's identity, I've always been drawn to the notion of Scorpio having a deep mysterious quality to it. I love to dig deeper into the psyche and understand what's going on with people at a subconscious level. And I'm definitely not the kind of guy who's going to reveal everything about his personality right at the outset of meeting someone. Scorpios like to scan the situation a bit before laying their guard down. Vulnerability is something I'm still working on, but when I let people in, I let them see all sides of me and I think it makes for a really special, intense bond."

2. Before he became a full-time astrologer three years ago, he actually dedicated most of his life striving to be a musician.
"Throughout my 20s, I was a digital strategist and data analyst by day and musician by night. Both of my parents played in rock bands in the '80s and '90s in Minneapolis and I really have their passion for music in my blood. I've been writing songs since I was 11 years old and performing on stage since around that time. While I'm not always one to articulate in a casual conversation every emotion I'm going through, I feel super comfortable pouring those emotions into a song. It's a form of meditation and an energetic outlet for me."

3. Foxes are his favorite animals, and he's always been drawn to them.
"I remember once being in the rolling hills and cornfields of Iowa and playing acoustic guitar in someone's backyard and then seeing a fox emerge from the fields. It was such a vivid memory for me and ever since then I've been so fascinated by them. They are sly and sophisticated."

4. The Fifth Element has probably made a bigger impact on his life than any other film.
"I would watch The Fifth Element on repeat in my pre-teen years. I was so obsessed with the off-kilter, futuristic ambiance and vibe of it. And I loved Mila Jovovich's orange hair. She was probably my first Hollywood crush. And the scenes felt weirdly familiar to me. When I was really young I'd have the strangest dreams that I was on another planet with a purple sky and other odd surroundings. So Fifth Element really suited my fanciful nature at the time."

5. He says he's lucky, as he doesn't hear many rumors about himself.
"But one amusing rumor was that I would only date Scorpio and Capricorn Risings. This is because of a video I made a couple years ago about the two rising signs I'm most attracted to overall. But truly every sign is neutral and has its higher and lower expression. There is, of course, compatibility in astrology, but the rising sign alone would never be a deterrent to dating someone (you'd have to look at the moon, Venus and Mars, among other things, to truly delve into the spark or lack thereof)."

6. He's drawn to lots of different movie genres.
"I love a good sci-fi flick, like District 9, but I also really enjoy a brooding, sad love story like Blue Valentine. Sometimes Westerns also pique my interest. No Country for Old Men and The Revenant are two of my all-time favorites. And then I have a deep obsession with Lord of the Rings. I don't really adhere to one genre. It depends on my mood, thanks to all the water sign placements in my birth chart."

7. Some of his very favorite music is from the '80s, and from U.K. artists in particular.
"The sound is often so eclectic (my mother said it's because their radio stations are less siloed to specific genres). Peter Gabriel is an incredible visionary musician, in my opinion. And then I also love Prefab Sprout, which is this obscure jazz-infused pop and rock band from outside Newcastle. My parents would play their albums when I was a child and I was instantly enchanted by their hooks."

8. If he could only buy clothing from one place, he'd have to pick either John Varvatos or Maison Kitsuné.
"I love the fox logos on Maison Kitsuné, which really ties back to my fascination with foxes, and John Varvatos makes the best henleys in my opinion and their jackets really stand out with their jewel tones."

9. The end of The Return of the King always makes him cry.
"The whole saga is so captivating and you truly never want it to end."

10. The one app he couldn't live without is called Astro Gold.
"It's a software that shows where the planets are positioned in the sky. I'm always consulting it to gauge the current energies, revisit the past and make predictions about the future. I'm always taking screenshots of the charts and using them as a backdrop in my TikTok and Instagram videos. It's my genuine sidekick in this journey as an astrology creator."

11. Evan attributes his freedom as a child to the open and creative person he is today.
"When I was a kid, my parents were thankfully not overbearing and didn't try to schedule out my entire life like some kids I knew out in the suburbs. Growing up in the city meant skateboarding or biking around and exploring the local neighborhoods and freely expressing ourselves (and often getting into trouble). All my neighbor friends were unafraid to take risks and taught me to do the same. The unstructured free time gave me permission to be creative and do what I love to do. I've never felt like I've had to fully surrender my authenticity, even if I set it aside temporarily during my corporate days. Deep down, I'm the little rebellious boy skateboarding around, blasting '90s music on a Duracell-powered boombox and writing punk rock songs on guitar."
