Evan Nathaniel Grim: The summer solstice marks the time of year when the Northern Hemisphere experiences the longest period of daylight. During this time, the sun passes directly over the Tropic of Cancer (hence the Tropical Zodiac). The summer solstice marks the peak of a cycle that began on the winter solstice when daylight was at its shortest. Whereas the winter
solstice signifies a rebirth and the initiation of new plans, the summer solstice is a cause for celebration of your achievements since that time.

The sun represents the Logos, the spirit, expression and our vitality. Therefore, when its energy is climaxing, it can represent the fulfillment of our goals and ambitions and we can really step into our authentic selves. This makes it a wonderful time for reflecting on what you've accomplished over the past six months.

From this point until the winter solstice, the sun's power in the Northern Hemisphere begins to wane, and this can be thought of similarly to the waning hemicycle of a lunation cycle. It is, therefore, a time to refine and perfect our achievements. I would recommend writing down your accomplishments since the winter solstice and evaluating your next steps from there. And this summer solstice precedes a full moon in Capricorn happening one day later, making it an opportune moment for releasing outmoded energies.
