Everything You Should Know About Louis Tomlinson’s 28 Clothing Brand

Nearly two years ago, bandmate Harry Styles began his lifestyle brand Pleasing, and Niall Horan founded his golf management company. Now, Louis Tomlinson steps into the spotlight for his first non-music solo venture, the 28 Clothing brand.
The streetwear line debuted its first products on Aug. 28—here's everything you need to know about it.
Where Can I Buy 28?
You can purchase items from 28 Clothing now at the brand's website. According to their Instagram, the current items are only the first drop, so there is plenty more to anticipate from Louis and his team. As of right now, new drops are expected on the 28th of every month.

What Does The Brand's Name Mean?
Directioners will know—Louis has a long history with the number 28.
Before his boy band days, Louis played soccer on his local football team, Doncaster Rovers, with the No. 28 jersey. In 2015, he got the numerals tattooed on his hands. And if you've followed his Spotify page for a few years, he used to have a playlist of his 28 favorite songs. And now, he's named his new fashion line 28 Clothing!
Bandmate Liam Payne offered that it also might have been the house number of his childhood home.
The Vision
In an interview with Hypebeast, Louis revealed that he wanted to pay homage to his humble upbringing in Doncaster and, essentially, share the city's culture with the world. "Community is something that runs throughout everything I do, and after getting the casting ideas for the models, I knew I wanted to use street models. I didn't want to use that traditional model face because that's now what I grew up with," he explained. "If I picture that rough lad I grew up with in Doncaster, he certainly didn't have that look—he just looked cool in the clothes."

The Collection
The first 28 Clothing brand drop features 17 items inspired by Louis's fashion taste.
If you've followed him for years, you'll know he traded in his preppy suspenders and nautical stripes for something more sporty, typical of his central England hometown, Doncaster—and ultimately became the vision behind 28. So, within the first vault, you'll find many football jerseys and tracksuits, which have become a staple to his everyday fashion. Sprinkled in, you'll find a few more sweatshirts, tees and accessories.
For the most part, 28 Clothing holds a consistent neutral color scheme, with blacks, tans, and forest greens. Prices range from $25 to $110.
