Amazing Eyelash-Enhancing Techniques for Every Budget
We're longtime fans of eyelashes because of their ability to make any makeup look pop.
After trying every lash trend out there, we've rounded up the top five eyelash-enhancing techniques for you to try, along with how much each method will cost you.
Magnetic Eyelashes ($30-$70)
One of the most innovative eyelash solutions we've seen as of late is magnetic eyelashes. Although a bit tricky to put on, they're a popular choice for people looking to up their lash game.
The process sounds simple: Place the top lash strip on top of your natural lashes. You then hold it by the outer edge to get it as close as possible to your natural lash line. With your other hand, you bring up the bottom lash strip and they'll lock into place with the force of the magnet. It can be tricky at first, but the more experience you have wearing them, the easier it gets. One kit will last for about 60 days and can run anywhere from $30 to $70.

Lash Lifts ($100+)
We've sung the praises of this process before, and the results have landed it on this list. "Lash Lifts," as they are known in the beauty world, are one of the most in-demand procedures as of late. It involves permanently curling your eyelashes so that no extensions are needed. We love the instant, wide-eye effect it offers, plus, it can last for up to two months. The process is a bit pricey; expect to pay north of $100 for this one.
At-Home Eyelash Extensions ($5 to $7)
At-home extensions are the easiest and most affordable lashes on our list. This tried and true method involves using a special adhesive to secure your favorite brand of eyelash extensions directly to your natural lash line. Ardell is the most popular brand, and you can find it at almost any drugstore. You can also search Amazon for a wider variety of price points and brands. The investment is minimal. Expect to spend anywhere from $5 to $7 for a pack of lashes. They're only good for one wear in most cases.

Professional Eyelash Extensions ($200)
Professional extensions are the way to go if you have the cash and patience. Although this technique provides the best results, it is hard to maintain and can be costly (sometimes very costly). The process will take a couple of hours at the salon and the results will last anywhere from four weeks to two months. The after-care is intense, and you need to be super careful when doing everyday things, like washing your face or showering. Your visit to the salon will set you back close to $200, which makes it a better investment for big events, like prom or a wedding.

The Trusty Eyelash Curler ($22)
A good, old-fashioned eyelash curler is one of the best tools a girl can keep in her makeup bag. No matter how little (or how much!) makeup you wear, a great curler can make your eyes pop and give you an instant "I slept 10 hours" look. Stick to known brands, like Tweezerman, to ones that you know will provide quality and value. This is one tool you will use over and over again, so make sure you buy the best quality you can. Pro tip: if you want an extra bump, try running a hot blow dryer on the curler and then curling your lashes. The heat will make the curl last longer.
