Here’s Which Pop Culture Dog Should Be Your Sidekick, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Everyone needs a sidekick, and who makes better sidekicks than a loyal dog?

Nobody, that's who. Keep reading to find out which dog from pop culture would be the perfect sidekick for you, based on your zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Dug

Aries is the most energetic of the zodiac signs, and they need a hyperactive, loyal pup to keep up with them. Dug is exactly the type of dog for them. He's enthusiastic, loyal and up for pretty much anything, and he has a strong sense of right and wrong when things start getting murky.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Pluto

The practical and reliable Taurus needs a dog who's equally dependable. Pluto is happy-go-lucky and loves to go on adventures, even if he can be a scaredy cat from time to time. But no matter what, he's someone Mickey can rely on. Along with Pluto, a Taurus is pretty much guaranteed to succeed.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Odie

There are two sides (or sometimes even more) to every Gemini, which can sometimes make them unpredictable. Fittingly, their doggy sidekick should be someone who can handle them at your worst and your best. Odie would be the perfect match because he loves unconditionally. No matter which version of the Gemini he encounters, he'll be there for them.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Lockjaw

Cancer is a caring and sensitive sign that loves to be under the watchful protection of someone who cares. The royal guard (and super-powered) bulldog Lockjaw would be their perfect companion. Lockjaw may look pretty fierce, but he's actually sweet and loving to those he cares about. Cancer will never feel threatened with Lockjaw by their side.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Clifford

Leo loves to be the center of attention, and what would attract more attention than a giant red dog? Just like Leo, Clifford is larger than life and likes to befriend everyone he meets. In fact, he can often get in trouble trying to impress new friends. Sound familiar, Leos?

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22): Snoopy

Virgo is a hardworking and kind sign, but they are also known for being distrustful. Only the most trustworthy dog deserves their companionship, and Snoopy fits that description to a T. Snoopy is also known for his "happy dance," and could teach Virgo a thing or two about being in touch with their emotions.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Scooby-Doo

Those born under the sign of Libra are natural peace-keepers and justice-seekers, and sometimes finding the truth means doing a little detective work. Obviously, Scooby-Doo is the right partner for the job. He may be occasionally cowardly, but with a little encouragement in the form of a snack, he's always willing to help out. Together, Libra and Scooby could solve any mystery.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Santa's Little Helper

Mysterious Scorpios are also known to be the troublemakers of the zodiac. Santa's Little Helper is also prone to mischief, and together, the two of you could pull of the world's greatest prank. Scorpio is also known for their iron will, and they might be the only ones who could tame the unruly Santa's Little Helper.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Jake the Dog

Sagittarius is the most adventurous of the zodiac signs. They're born to travel the world and take risks, so an equally thrill-seeking companion like Jake the dog would be their perfect match. Sagittarians are also known for being philosophical and full of ideas, so a talking dog who could bounce those ideas back is ideal for the star sign.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Toto

Capricorn is the most determined sign of the zodiac. You don't need any help to complete your goals, but it's nice to have a little cheering on every once in a while, and there's where Toto comes in. Toto's full of love and can always be trusted to keep you motivated to succeed.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Zero

Aquarius is one of the most spiritual of the star signs, so it only makes sense that their canine counterpart would be a literal spirit. Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas is playful and fun-loving, and Aquarius would find it easily to get emotionally in tune with this ghost mutt.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Gromit

Pisces is artistic and compassionate, but they're also known as of the most absent-minded of the star signs. They tend to lose track of things and be clumsy, and they need a trustworthy sidekick like Gromit to keep them focused and make sure they don't make too much of a mess.
