How You Should Prepare for the First Day of School, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Are you ready for the first day of school? None of us are.

If you're feeling a little overwhelmed about the end of summer, or just don't feel prepared for school, we're here to help. Scroll down to your zodiac sign below to find out the best way to get back on track.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Actually Get Some Sleep

Eager and enthusiastic Aries may not be all that excited to be back in the classroom, but that won't stop them from giving it everything they have. You're ready to be the very best, and you're probably going to keep yourself up all night thinking about how you're going to do it. Unfortunately, you tend to exhaust yourself before something even starts with this mindset. As school approaches, try to get to bed at a decent hour and actually get some shuteye. It'll help you have the energy you need to turn your plans into reality.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Get Your School Shopping Done ASAP

Taurus may be known for their preparation and dependability, but when it comes to going back to school, they can be anything but ready. You're stubborn, dislike change and can get stuck in your ways, and the transition from summer to fall is a big change for you. Since you're a big procrastinator, get your school shopping for clothes and supplies done as soon as you can. That small step will help you get back in the position of being fully equipped for everything school can throw at you.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Regroup With Friends

Gemini loves going back to school more than most signs because it means they'll be around their friends for a huge portion of every weekday. Chances are that over the summer you were able to orchestrate some awesome hangouts with friends, but people get busy and plans can fall apart, too. Before classes resume, organize a final epic get-together to get the ball rolling on the new school year. On the first day of class, you'll feel totally ready to take on the year.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Practice Mindfulness

Cancer can get pretty emotional about losing the tranquility of summer and replacing it with sometimes tumultuous fall, but meditation helps. Being more mindful will help you reflect on your most stressful thoughts and look at them intellectually instead of emotionally. It allows you to better understand what you need, and by the time school rolls around, you'll be mentally prepared for anything.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Prep Your Outfit

As much as Leo wants to do well in school, their biggest concern upon returning to campus is standing out and making an impact. That's why it's imperative that you don't leave your back-to-school outfit selection for the last minute. As soon as you can, lay out your ensemble from head to toe, including any accessories you plan to wear. Break in your shoes early and try it on to make sure you'll be totally comfortable while you steal the show on the first day back.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Organize Your Workspace

Perfectionist Virgo tends to love being back in school because it's a chance to put some order back into their lives after a somewhat chaotic summer. If you've let things fall into disarray since school ended, the first step is to perfectly organize your workspace at home. Put everything in order at the house so your desk is neat and tidy and all of your supplies are in a logical place. This way, when you bring home your first homework assignments, you'll have no distractions and you'll be ready to buckle down.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Pack Snacks

Libra loves the structure and balance that a school day provides, and getting back into the groove of things isn't much of a struggle for you. You're at school to learn, as much as you're there to make new connections with friendly people, so it's time to pack the snacks. You'll want some for yourself for a bit of energy throughout the day, but sharing tasty food is also a great way to forge new friendships.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Map Out Your Extracurriculars

Scorpio doesn't exactly love being back in the classroom, but at least being around people can make things interesting. Just because you don't like opening up to people doesn't mean you dislike being around them. You're attracted to juicy drama, but you won't always find it in the classroom, so plan an extracurricular or two to keep the new school year exciting.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Just Chill

Sagittarius usually sees life as one big adventure, and even getting stuck in a classroom doesn't cramp your style. As summer comes to a close, you're likely concocting some big plans for what you want to do this school year, plotting an itinerary all the way through next summer. Of course, things don't often pan out according to your overly optimistic plans, which can lead to disappointment. Try taking it easy and address things as they come to set more realistic expectations.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Read Something

If the school year somehow resumed just a week into summer, Capricorn would miraculously be prepared for it. You work hard and apply careful attention to everything you do, with school at the top of that list. Chances are that any summer reading or assignments were completed ages ago. Still, now is a good time to get back into the habit of reading for pleasure. Once school does start up again, your brain will be totally revved up and ready to soak up knowledge like a sponge.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Come to Terms With the End of Summer

Aquarius may have a tougher time coping with the end of summer than any other zodiac sign. Your sign stands for freedom and independence—exactly what being stuck in a classroom strips away from you. If you plan on not being miserable when you finally head back, you'll have to accept that summer ends. Start thinking about it now and maybe you'll actually feel alright on the first day of school.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Set Some Ground Rules

Imaginative Pisces often daydreams their way through the first day of school, which can make them fall behind, fast. It can be tough for you to keep up if you fall prey to your habits, so actually set some ground rules for yourself to establish a routine that works for you while keeping you up to speed. They don't have to be super rigid, but some accountability will do wonders for your grades.
