FIRST stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology," and aims to transform teen culture in a way that celebrates science and technology.
"From teamwork and problem-solving, FIRST inspires young people to be science and technology leaders," says a voice-over in the video.
Emma Dumont, star of ABC Family's Bunheads, makes an appearance in the PSA. Not only is Emma an actor and dancer, but she's also a First Robotics team member!
First Robotics holds competitions which bring together young minds by having them team up to build awesome problem-solving robots.
"Robotics has taught me that through teamwork, you can accomplish anything, that hard work does pay off, and that no job is too tough to handle if you have the right mentors," Emma said in an interview with Connect a Million Minds. "I am lucky to have the right mentors in robotics and in my acting career."
