The Fitbit Luxe Has LITERALLY Changed My Life

Not to be dramatic, but the Fitbit Luxe has changed my life.

Whether you like tracking the number of steps you take every day or want to see how well you're sleeping every night, this Fitbit can tell you just that. I reached out to Fitbit and they were kind enough to send me the Luxe to try out for myself, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the results. Wondering if you should get one for yourself? Continue below to learn all about Fitbit and for my honest review of the Fitbit Luxe!

The Brand

Fitbit is a fitness and health company known for its top-of-the-line fitness trackers. From smartwatches to trackers, the brand has evolved over the years and can now track things like fitness, sleep, steps, calories burned, menstrual tracking and so much more. My main goal for using the Fitbit was to track my fitness, and boy has it changed everything.

The Experience

Fitbit Luxe: $129.95 (currently on sale for $109.95!)

As I mentioned, I wanted to try out the Fitbit Luxe with the main goal of tracking my fitness. I've come to learn that I'm a competitive person with myself, and want to beat my previous goals or reach new milestones. For example, if I'm at the gym and see if I've burned 430 calories, I push myself even harder to get to that solid 500 calories.

If you're anything like me, you're probably most interested in all the fitness perks, and there are a lot. The Fitbit Luxe can auto-recognize certain activities. From walking to swimming, using the elliptical and plain old working out, the Luxe can do just that. Even though this is possible, I still like to open my watch and start my workouts so I see a live version of how long I've been working out, my heart rate, my calories burned and the heart zones I'm in.

So, what exactly are heart zones? They're actually super cool and I've become low-key obsessed with tracking them. Basically, when I'm working out, it measures my heart rate and tells me what zone I'm in—below zones, fat burn, cardio and peak. If I'm at the gym, I try to keep my heart rate at least in the fat-burning zone, but that doesn't always happen. For example, the other day I worked out for 44 minutes, and my measurements were eight minutes of peak, 17 minutes of cardio, 11 minutes of fat burn and seven minutes below zones. At the end of my workout I was able to track the zones, my average heart rate, calories burned, steps taken and more!

Moving on to other aspects of the Fitbit Luxe—the sleep tracker! I've never been the best at getting to bed at a decent hour or even knowing how well I'm sleeping in the middle of the night. But my Fitbit vibrates at night letting me know it's time to wind down which has been a game-changer. Often I'm on TikTok and it's the perfect reminder to get off my phone and get ready for bed.

I wear my Fitbit to bed so that it continues to track everything while I sleep, and when I wake up, I get to look at my overall score. In addition to the score, I get to see the amount of time I was asleep, how long I was in deep sleep and REM sleep as, well as my sleeping heart rate. For example, last night I slept for 8 hours and 7 minutes. I was in deep sleep for a total of 39 minutes, light sleep for 5 hours and 53 minutes and REM sleep for one hour and 35 minutes, resulting in a sleep score of 84, which is "good".

Another fun feature of the Fitbit Luxe that I've come to love is the water and food log. It's a good reminder to drink enough water and to eat healthy, good-for-me foods. I don't log what I eat every day, but if I feel like getting an idea of the nutrients I put in my body, I put in the info!

There are a few more features like mindfulness, menstrual tracking, stress management and health metrics. These are the features I haven't really used and don't feel like I need, but I like to know I have the option to take advantage of them. I've used some of the mindfulness exercises when I'm feeling restless or just need a breather, and it's really helped.

And if you're wondering, yes, the Fitbit Luxe is waterproof! I wear it in the steam room and shower, and it works just fine. Additionally, I've noticed that the battery life lasts for about six days, but this can vary depending on the features you have on. I don't have phone notifications because feeling it vibrate any time I get a text is super annoying. If I did have it on, I'm sure the battery life would be less. The look of the tracker itself is sleek and girly—just the way I like it! The color is a soft neutral with gold details, which I think is so much cuter than anything else.

Bottom Line

I am so happy with my Fitbit Luxe. It's allowed me to push myself when at the gym or even when I'm trying to get up to 10,000 steps a day (which definitely doesn't happen all of the time, but still!). My sleep has significantly improved and overall I just feel like a better version of myself. I truly couldn't recommend the Fitbit Luxe more!
