Looking for an Alternative to the Dyson Airwrap? Try Flower Beauty’s Ceramic Air Styling Brush

The Dyson Airwrap has been all the rage since it hit shelves in 2018. Thanks to the rising popularity of bouncy, voluminous blowouts, even more people have begun praising Dyson—and their competitor, Shark FlexStyle—for making it easy to achieve the salon-styled look at home. But, at a polarizing $600 and nearly $300 price point, respectively, they're not feasible for everyone to purchase.

Enter Flower Beauty's Ceramic Hot Air Styling Brush. The team behind the brand was kind enough to send me the product to try out myself, and if you're looking for an affordable alternative to the Dyson Airwrap or Shark FlexStyle, keep scrolling to discover how the Ceramic Hot Air Styling Brush measured up.

Where Can You Buy It?

The Ceramic Hot Air Styling Brush is available now on Flower Beauty's website for $69.99.

What Are the Features?

According to Flower Beauty's website, the 1000-watt Hot Air Styling Brush has a ceramic barrel. The bristles were created to prevent tangling, and the brush itself has three heat and cool settings.

When Should You Use It?

The best time to use this product is when your hair is damp, but not when it's soaking wet.

My Experience

My first attempt at using Flower Beauty's heated round brush went surprisingly well! I'm writing this from the perspective of someone who cannot do anything other than basic styling with a flat iron or curling wand.

My hair is on the thicker side, so I blow-dried my hair as normal for 10 minutes. Then, I used the Ceramic Hot Air Styling Brush for around 30 minutes. I felt like my hair still felt soft after using it, and despite using the highest setting, I don't think my hair received any damage from the product—though, I also made sure to use a heat protectant.

To style my hair, I brushed out each lock and wrapped it around the barrel to achieve the perfect blowout look.

Bottom Line

Sometimes, I'm able to achieve a blowout look with a flat iron after blow-drying my hair. I typically avoid doing this because I don't want to put too much heat on my hair. This was a nice alternative because I minimized my total time with hot tools.

Overall, I'd put this product a step above the styling tools you'd find at your local Target or Walmart. It felt sturdy in my hand, and I never smelled any kind of burning that I often do with cheaper products.

This styling brush is definitely a promising, affordable option compared to the Dyson Airwrap or Shark FlexStyle. If I had to guess, the Shark FlexStyle would lead to less heat damage to your hair over time with everyday use, but Flower Beauty's brush is a solid alternative for the occasional blow-out.
