11 Forgotten Throwback Songs That Deserve More Recognition
There's no bigger thrill than discovering new music.
It's quite the rush when your favorite artist releases a new album or you come across a new song that has yet to hit mainstream media.
But there's also something so special about listening to throwback songs that you totally forgot about.
Scroll below for some classic cuts by Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and more that deserve more recognition.
1. "Another Dumb Blonde" by Hoku
This was the breakup anthem back in the day, especially if you were a blonde. It has long since been forgotten, but we still jam out to it every now and then.
2. "Reach" by S Club 7
S Club 7 was a pop group from the U.K. made up of both guys and gals. They had so many catchy tunes, but none of them compare to their uplifting single "Reach."
3. "Before the Storm" by Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers
We're still not quite over this duet, and we don't think we ever will be. Niley forever!
4. "Hello Beautiful" by the Jonas Brothers
Arguably one of the greatest love songs ever written, we're still waiting for the JoBros to serenade us with this masterpiece. Any day now, guys.
5. "La La Land" by Demi Lovato
Demi has released plenty of stellar songs throughout her career, but none of them will mean more to us than her second single "La La Land." It was all about embracing who you are, something we've learned a lot about thanks to Demi.
6. "Candy" by Mandy Moore
Way before she voiced Rapunzel in Tangled and starred in This Is Us, Mandy Moore burst onto the scene as a pop princess. "Candy" is one of the greatest songs of all time, so you better give it a listen.
7. "Lucky" by Britney Spears
Britney is an icon, someone we've been fond of since we can remember. While we love her recent stuff, none of it compares to her heartfelt song "Lucky."
8. "Wake Up" by Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff was once a pop star, too, with plenty of incredible songs under her belt. Our all time fave? "Wake Up" all the way.
9. "Our Time Now" by the Plain White T's
You've heard "Hey There Delilah" by these dudes, but their song "Our Time Now" is a bop if there ever was one. Give it a chance!
10. "Love Like Woe" by the Ready Set
This song may not sound familiar, but once it kicks in, you'll immediately find yourself singing along to its catchy lyrics.
11. "Check Yes, Juliet" by We the Kings
A pop punk song for the ages, We the Kings' "Check Yes, Juliet" will have you bobbing your head and tapping your foot in no time.
