The DOs and DON’Ts of Being a Successful Gemini
Gemini's fun, affectionate and sociable natures can take them quite far in life, so long as the other side of their dual personalities doesn't drag them down.
The air sign is naturally successful and popular, even if they have a few traits that tend to make their lives a bit trickier. If you're a Gemini, keep reading to discover the DOs and DON'Ts that'll drive you toward your best self.
DO Hone Your Humor
Gemini is one of the wittiest signs of the zodiac, known for their sharp sense of humor and ability to make just about anyone laugh. You have a natural knack for knowing precisely how to navigate social situations, which gives you great insights into people and their needs. You tend to understand when to use a joke to alleviate tension, and when to be quiet because the people around you would find that inappropriate. You have a sense of who enjoys puns and wordplay, who gets a kick out of situational humor, and who'd rather see you act out a funny scene in the form of physical comedy. You're just plain funny, and the more you work on that, the more good it'll do you in life.

DON'T Be in a Relationship Just Because
Of all the signs, Gemini is the one most infamous for always being in a relationship. You might be prone to loneliness, and dislike being on your own, but that doesn't mean you always have to be paired up to be content. When you're with someone just because you're lonely, and not because you actually like spending time around them, you'll find that you make yourself even unhappier by wasting your time, and that feelings will get hurt in the end. Spare their feelings. Instead, choose your romantic relationships wisely, and turn to your friends to get you through any of those tough, solitary times.
DO Channel Your Energies
Gemini can be an energetic and often restless sign, and when they don't have an outlet for their feelings, they tend to back up and cause problems. When you feel something stirring inside of you, put that power to good use. Reach out to the people you care about and try to do something nice for them. You'll find that in trying to make them happy, you'll make yourself happy, too. Do something creative by getting all of those wild ideas onto paper, canvas or even your computer. Move your body to work out all of that nervous energy. Whatever you do, don't sit around doing nothing, or you may find that your lack of output becomes destructive.

DON'T Turn Everything Into a Competition
Gemini's competitive nature is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can drive you to many great successes. On the other, it can make failure feel unacceptable, and even when you win, it can alienate the people you pushed aside in order to get to the top. While winning can feel great, it's important and healthy to remember that it's not the most important thing. Being a sore loser is never a good look. If possible, try to maintain a healthy balance between your desire to win and being receptive to the possibility of losing. The minute you learn to lose gracefully, you'll find that your life becomes much simpler, and people will start liking you better when you win, too.
DO Let Your Curiosity Drive You
Curiosity and the desire to discover the world are at the core of every Gemini. When something catches your interest, you can sometimes have a hard time letting it go, eager to learn anything and everything you can about the subject, its origins and how it works. When you're feeling that motivation, harness it. Become an expert in the things that fascinate you, and then put that knowledge to use. You never know what ways you might be able to improve the world at large simply because you had the interest and the desire to figure things out.

DON'T Let Inconsistency Get in the Way of Your Success
Gemini is symbolized by twins because of the sign's duality. You may find that there are two (or more) sides to your true self, but just because you're not always in the same frame of mind, or even feeling like the same person, doesn't mean you still can't get things done and conquer the world. Sit down and think about who you are and what types of moods you tend to fluctuate toward. From there, work to build a roadmap for your dreams that involves every aspect of you. Maybe the outgoing, talkative side of you can handle one part of the equation, but for those times you're feeling quiet and introspective, there will be other parts of the project you'll better adapt to. Transform yourself into a one-person team utilizing your various strengths and there will be no stopping you.
