A Love Letter to Little Mix, One of the Most Empowering Girl Groups
Little Mix, oh, what a ride it has been.
[featuredvideo video_id="YzyE7Y1u"]I remember discovering you girls through Twitter when just about everyone on my feed was talking about your performance of "Big Girls Don't Cry" on The X Factor UK back when you still went by Rhythmix. Your moving rendition of Fergie's tune brought me to tears, and I know I'm not the only one.
That was the moment I fell in love with the four of you. From then on out, I made a conscious effort to catch all of your X Factor performances by any means necessary.
When you made it to the finals, I nearly lost it. And when you won, well let's just say I went a bit mental.
Years later, I still find myself continuously amazed by literally everything you do. Seriously, no other musical group holds a candle to the talent you all possess.

Your harmonies are always on point and your dance moves are never off beat. Whenever you take the stage, I know a mesmerizing and awe-inspiring performance is about to happen.
While I could go on and on about your out-of-this-world musical talents, that isn't the reason I'm writing you this letter.
The reason I want to express my unwavering admiration for you is to thank you for empowering me to be the best possible version of myself.
As I watched you grow into these confident women, I've done the same with plenty of help from you fearless ladies.
Whenever I'm feeling down about myself, I know I can turn to songs like "Change Your Life," "Salute," "Weird People" and "Power"—to name a few—when I need a boost to my self-confidence.

And you've written a slew of songs that've helped me get through a few minor breakups in my life. I mean "Shout Out to My Ex" and "Hair" are basically all I need to listen to when my heart is aching over some silly boy. I listen to these tunes and am instantly reminded of who I am.
No guy—or person in general—should have the power to make me feel less about myself, and I cannot thank you all enough for teaching me that.
Apart from your endless list of empowering tunes, I love how supportive you all are of each other and your fans.
Other girls tend to tear each other down in order to feel better about themselves, but you've never been a part of those petty games. From day one, you've always been there for each other.
Your inseparable bond has taught me what real, genuine female friendships should look like. Nothing has ever come between you, and I don't think it ever will.

Honestly, we all need to take notes on the relationship you all have with one another. I know I had some not-so-great friends in my life who I've etched out because they weren't there for me when I needed them most.
I don't know if I would've ever found myself out of these toxic relationships if it weren't for you.
I seriously don't know how to put into words how grateful I am for you—Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Perrie.
You've made me more confident and sure of myself, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Sincerely,
Your Most Grateful Mixer
