Everything You Wanted to Know About German Rock Band Giant Rooks
We first got hooked on the music of German indie rock band Giant Rooks with their inimitable cover of Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner," and our love for the group has only grown from there.
Consisting of singer Frederik Rabe, guitarist Finn Schwieters, bassist Luca Göttner, keyboardist Jonathan Wischniowski and drummer Finn Thomas, the quintet has grown beyond TikTok virality, and they've been making quite the splash with hundreds of millions of streams across the globe and the success of their recent anthemic single "Somebody Like You." This summer has been especially momentous for them, with a performance at Lollapalooza before opening for Louis Tomlinson on his North American tour, and more shows to come across Mexico, the U.K. and Germany.
