Girl Meets World Episode 1 on iTunes Now!

Girl Meets World might not premiere on the Disney Channel until June 27, but the first episode is available to download now from the iTunes store!

We checked out the first episode early and have to report that fans will love it just as much as its prequel, Boy Meets World!

Seventh grader Riley Matthews (Rowan Blachard) is a teenager trying to make her own place in the world. She wants to be just like her rebellious best friend Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), but it's not in her nature to break the rules.

As Riley tries to follow in Maya's trouble-making ways, she comes into conflict with her parents, Corey and Topanga Matthews (Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel), originally from Boy Meets World! Corey explains that, until Riley can make the world her own, she'll have to live by his rules.

Along the way, Riley develops a crush on a cute boy from Texas named Lucas (Peyton Meyer) who happens to be the new kid at school. But Riley's dad also happens to be her history teacher. Will she ever be able to escape her father's world?

Maya's escapades continue as she stages a class revolt against homework. Riley joins her in an attempt to embrace her wild side, but it's more of an act of rebellion against her dad.

But even as Riley tries to reinvent herself to be just like Maya, Lucas sees through it. He talks to Riley and tries to make her understand the importance of being herself.

When Maya sees what she's done, she even tries to break off the friendship to protect Riley. What she doesn't realize is that BFFs can make it through anything!

It's only when Riley is comfortable being herself, and not Maya, that her dad can let her live in her own world!

New fans will be utterly charmed by Girl Meets World, and fans of TGIF's Boy Meets World will find that the new series picks up nicely after the last one left off.

However, there's still a lot of explanation to do before we'll know everything that happened since the BMW finale 14 years ago!

Not only is the show funny and sweet, but it shares a great message about friendship and always remaining true to yourself.

The show's theme song, "Take On The World," is also lovely and inspiring, featuring the great vocal talents of stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter.

The show also includes some fantastic characters, new and old, including the adorable August Maturo as Riley's little brother Auggie and Corey Fogelmanis as the hilariously bizarre Farkle.

Boy Meets World fans also need to stay tuned until the end of the episode for a special guest appearance. You'll just have to watch yourself to see who shows up!
