Lea Michele’s #ActuallySheCan Campaign Will Help Us Run the World
Who run the world? That's the question we answer every Friday with all of the latest news on women who are doing incredible things, changing the world and inspiring us to break out of our comfort zones. This week, there were some big stories from the sports world, Hailee Steinfeld reminded us to love ourselves and we saw Belle from Beauty and the Beast in a whole new light!
College can get pricey, so 19-year-old LeiLei Secor took manners into her own hands by creating her own jewelry business on Etsy called Designed by Lei. She makes the jewelry in her dorm room, and over the course of 3 years has sold more than 11,000 pieces and made more than enough to pay her own way at the University of Virginia. By the way, her stuff is super cute, totally affordable.

Weeks after Team U.S.A.'s big Women's World Cup win, Alex Morgan is still breaking down barriers. She'll be the first woman every featured on the cover of an EA Sports FIFA title with FIFA 16!
In other awesome sports news, the Arizona Cardinals hired Jen Welter this week, making her the first female coach in the history of the NFL. She'll be working as a training camp-preseason intern coach, but maybe she'll be opening some doors so we can see a female head coach someday?
Keila Banks knows that a lot of people have preconceived notions about her when they first see her. She's a 13-year-old African-American girl from inner-city Los Angeles, but those aren't the only things that define her, and at this keynote speech at a tech conference, she makes it clear that there's a lot more to her than labels. Prepare to be blown away.
Glee's Lea Michele is the new face of the #ActuallySheCan campaign. It's all about inspiring girls to set goals in every area of their lives and go after them. This includes being supportive of other women and never letting anyone else's expectations hold you back!
