Here’s the Green Gemstone You Need in Your Life, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Here at Sweety High, we believe collecting crystals is a worthwhile endeavor, regardless of whether you believe they have healing properties or not.

With their naturally formed shapes and vibrant colors, they make for beautiful decorations and can help us all practice a bit of mindfulness as we go about our everyday lives. What's not to like? At the moment, we're particularly obsessed with gemstones in all shades of green. If you're curious about which green stone might be the fit for you, just keep scrolling for your top recommendations based on your zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Aventurine

Aventurine practically has "adventure" right in the name, making it the perfect fit for daring and active Aries. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, so they're always making the first leap and taking the lead, and since this stone is associated with leadership and determination, we couldn't think of a better match.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Emerald

Emerald is the official birthstone for May, already making it a natural fit for the majority of Taurus, but that's not the only reason we assigned it to the sign. Emerald is known as the "jewel of kings," making it apt for the regal and luxury-loving sign. Plus, it's popular for jewelry, and that deep green gleam just screams Taurus.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Hiddenite

Hiddenite is a truly unusual and dynamic gemstone, which is why it feels like a great fit for Gemini, known for its duality. For one, the gems are rarely all the way through, with yellow on one end and green on the other, and two, you almost always find them in granite formations. Perhaps this pairing of granite and hiddenite is why it's associated with unconditional love, whether between partners or friends—and Gemini is also considered the social butterfly of the zodiac.

Cancer (June 21 — July 22): Peridot

Peridot may be the birthstone for August, but we thought this olive-colored gem was an even better match for sensitive Cancer. In addition to frequently being set into dainty jewelry, the stone symbolizes emotional openness and healing, which are both things that closed-off Cancers could deeply benefit from.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Amazonite

Few signs have bigger, bolder personalities than Leos, who love the spotlight and are prone to risk-taking, which is what makes Amazonite so perfect for them. The stone is said to promote good fortune with money and a successful life in general, and though Leos tend to be quite lucky on their own, a little extra push can't hurt.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): Nephrite

Virgo is the perfectionist of the zodiac, which is why they can make use of the cleansing energies said to be inherent in nephrite. The stone symbolizes a successful passage through a journey and a sense of purity, meaning that when Virgo gets all of the details in place, they can expect smooth sailing for the rest of the endeavor.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): Jade

Libra may be symbolized by a set of balanced scales, but their urge to always maintain the peace can create situations that are anything but harmonious. That's why we think jade, a stone literally representing harmony and calm, suits them so well. It's the perfect aid to get them on the path to true balance, and its cool touch on the skin also makes it a great part of soothing rituals.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): Moldavite

Despite Scorpio's loyalty and passion, the sign gets a pretty bad rap, which is why we think a super energetic stone like moldavite suits them so well. It symbolizes huge shifts in energy, which might be just what Scorpio needs to overcome the prejudices others might have for them. Some even say that people feel a warmth and tingling when they touch this unique stone, and intuitive Scorpio is more likely than most to experience this connection.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Malachite

Malachite is a close relative to turquoise, Sagittarius's birthstone, but that's not the only reason it works so well for this adventurous sign. The unique, layered striations in malachite match the sign's playfulness and go-with-the-flow energy, while it's said to protect from negative energy, making lucky Sag even luckier.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): Prasiolite

No one works harder than Capricorn, which is why the stone of self-reliance, prasiolite, suits them so well. Capricorns will appreciate its classic clear appearance, and the fact it also represents their inner strength is an added bonus.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Chrysoprase

Aquarius can be a sign that defies categorization, much like the unusual stone, chyroprase. It gets its green color from nickel, usually containing both vibrant green and rusty red, making it as unusual as it is unexpected. It also represents optimism and self-discovery, as Aquarius is constantly on a quest for understanding and reinvention.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Variscite

Pisces is the zodiac's dreamer, and they'll find their dream green stone in the form of lovely variscite. The combination of soft greys and sage greens is soothing to look at, and the stone is associated with calming stress and anxiety. As Pisces can be an anxious sign, there couldn't be a better fit.
