How You Would Die on Grey’s Anatomy, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

There's only one thing we can really count on in Grey's Anatomy—everyone's going to die.

Your favorite character? Dead. That secondary character that you only sort of liked? Dead. The character that you absolutely hated and didn't ever want to see on screen? Don't worry about it, he's dead, too.

All this focus on death got us thinking about our ultimate fate, if we were to live in the world of Shondaland. And of course, we turned to the stars for our answer.

Keep scrolling to see how you would die on Grey's Anatomy, based on your zodiac sign.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Saving Someone Else

You're courageous and determined, Aries, but you're also impulsive and have a tendency to act before you think. In the world of Grey's Anatomy, your hasty decision-making will be your downfall. While walking through the streets of Seattle, you notice a woman crossing the street… and just behind her a car that seems to have no intention of stopping.

Without thinking through what you're doing, you dash over and push the woman out of the way, only to be hit by the car yourself. The woman was one of the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, but she was unable to save your life before the ambulance arrives, and time of death is called before you even arrive at the hospital.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): A Black Friday Disaster

The majority of the time, you're reliable, stable and practical, Taurus. But you have a deeply materialistic side, and unfortunately that will be your Shondaland undoing. In the world of Grey's Anatomy, Black Friday is your religion. You pay special attention to the Black Friday sales, as it's your one day to stock up on all the frivolous items you need for the year.

However, while running to grab a must-have designer handbag that was on sale for 60% off, the tiny heel of your Jimmy Choo breaks and you trip. In the craze of Black Friday shoppers running to the newly opened stores, you're unable to get your footing and you're trampled by the crowd. You were hauled into an ambulance, but flatlined before you reached Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, causing the doctors to pronounce you DOA before running to help other trampled shoppers.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Necrotizing Fasciitis

You're highly adaptable and always ready for new experiences, Gemini.  Your open mind and penchant for creativity makes you a traveling journalist in the Grey's Anatomy world, with Seattle as your home base. However, on your return home after your most recent journey, you notice a slight discoloration of the skin on your abdomen. Thinking it's a bruise, you brush it off, but quickly develop a high fever and severe pain in that area.

By the time you arrive at Grey Sloan, the doctors are easily able to diagnose your condition as the flesh-eating bacteria, necrotizing fasciitis. Although they try to operate, upon entering your abdomen, they realized the bacteria has already done too much damage to your internal organs. It moved quickly and you passed away within the next couple of days.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Failure to Wake Up After Surgery

You're incredibly loyal and sympathetic, Cancer, and you care deeply about the people around you, particularly your family. When your sister is diagnosed with kidney failure and in need of a transplant, your Grey's alter ego is the first to be tested. After confirming you're a match, the surgery is scheduled and you're fully on board with saving your sister's life.

However, you're also a highly pessimistic individual, so you spend the majority of the days leading up to the procedure inquiring about the rate of people who simply don't wake up following a surgery. The doctors assure you time and time again that you're going to be fine, and the surgery proceeds as planned. Your sister is saved and your family rejoices, but all of your first fears come to fruition when you simply never wake up, causing your family to eventually make the heartbreaking decision to pull you off of life support.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): A Pageant Gone Wrong

As someone who loves the spotlight, Leo, your Grey's Anatomy alter ego is obviously a pageant girl with quite a few awards under her belt. However, during the most important pageant of your career, while reciting your monologue (the obvious and only choice for your talent), the lighting director accidentally unhinges a row of lights, causing them to swing onto the stage and impale you at the height of your performance. Obviously, you're rushed to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, but the attending Cardiothoracic surgeon was in another surgery, and the abilities of the on-call residents are not enough to save your life.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sep. 22): A Gunshot Wound

You're hardworking and practical, Virgo, with a methodical approach to all the problems in your life. Your analytical nature makes you a highly successful businesswoman in the Grey's Anatomy world, but you also have a tendency to get caught up in the details, not allowing yourself to take a break until everything is perfect. This quality forces you to stay late into the night at your company to prepare for an important meeting. On that very same night, criminals break into your office with the intent to steal technology from your company. As the only person there, you try to stop them and are shot in the process.

You're rushed into surgery at Grey Sloan and the doctors are able to remove the bullet and patch up your internal organs, but your condition deteriorates over the next few weeks until you sink into a coma and eventually pass away.

Libra (Sep. 23 – Oct. 22): You Live!

Oh Libra, much like Meredith Grey, you're the only person who seems to consistently avoid death in the world of Grey's Anatomy. Your peaceful heart and dislike of confrontation keep you out of many of the major fiascos going on around you, which in turn keeps you protected and alive. You're a cautious individual who prefers reading a good book to going on an adventure, and spending time with your partner in a safe and comfortable environment is always your go-to Saturday night plan. Keep doing what you're doing, Libra, it's keeping you alive (for now).

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): A Hiking Trip Injury

As a resourceful and brave individual, Scorpio, your Grey's Anatomy alter ego is an outdoor enthusiast, committed to long hikes in the wilderness. On your most recent adventure with a small group of other active individuals, someone in your group falls while leading the way during a free hike, resulting in various injuries to everyone in your crew.

As a natural leader, you take charge, ensuring that everyone has shelter and sufficient supplies to stay alive while you all wait for help. When help arrives two weeks later, everyone in your crew survives and receives treatment at Grey Sloan, but in caring for everyone else, you leave your own injuries unattended, causing various infections and malnutrition that eventually results in your death.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): A Ferry Crash

You have an abundance of curious energy, Sagittarius, causing you to be one of the biggest travelers in all the zodiac. Your desire to see everything the world has to offer eventually leads you to Seattle. After traipsing through the city for a few days, you decide to take a ferry ride, despite your fear of boats. While on board, the ferry experiences an engine problem that causes the captain to lose control, resulting in a disastrous crash.

Although you're pulled from the wreckage and transported to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, the abundance of patients arriving from the crash pushes you lower and lower on the priority list. You seem to only have a few cuts and scratches, so the doctors treat the patients in more critical condition first. By the time they come around for your checkup, you've already passed away from internal bleeding that caused your organs to shut down while you waited for help.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): A Plane Crash

Your responsibility and discipline, as well as your uncompromising independence, Capricorn, easily makes you one of the top surgeons at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. You're known around the country for your innovative methods and your ability to pull off seemingly impossible procedures. Your incredible reputation causes patients around the world to seek you out, eventually leading to a request that you fly across the country to perform a surgery.

However, your methodical nature can't account for everything. On your journey to save a patient in need, your plane crashes, resulting in your immediate death, and a terrible loss to patients everywhere.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): A Brain Tumor

Shonda loves to take the most important parts of her characters and use them to create a truly heartbreaking death. Therefore, Aquarius, your constant search for intellectual stimulation and new knowledge is abruptly halted by the development of a tumor in an inoperable area of your brain. In the face of adversity, your aggressive and uncompromising nature comes to the surface, and you demand an operation from a highly-skilled brain surgeon in order to save your life. But the procedure ultimately proves too dangerous, and you flatline on the operating table.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): A Weak Heart

You're an incredibly kind, caring and friendly person, Pisces, and everyone who meets you is smitten. Your weak heart makes you a staple patient at Grey Sloan, and a favorite of all the doctors and nurses. You've already received two heart transplants to combat the various problems that plague you, but your heart is failing yet again.

Just as you descend into the final stages of your life, a heart becomes available, but at the exact moment, a child arrives at the hospital in immediate need of a transplant. He matches the heart as well, and although UNOS has officially declared the heart as yours, your selfless nature kicks in and you reject the heart in favor of saving the child, ultimately resulting in your death.
