Halo Top’s New Keto and Fruit Pops Might Be Their Best Offerings Yet
People tend to have very strong opinions on how they feel about Halo Top ice cream. Personally, I'm not sure what I'd do without the low-calorie ice cream brand.
So I was actually pretty honored when a rep from Halo Top reached out to me about trying their new chocolate-covered Keto pops, and fruit pops. They looked so good that I was happy to agree to try them all, and I got to see that the new offerings lived up to the Halo Top promise.
The Products
Halo Top has recently added a bunch of awesome new products to their roster. In addition to some scrumptious-looking new ice cream flavors, this includes Keto Pops with three or fewer net carbs per pop, 80-calorie gourmet fudge pops and fruit pops with half the sugar of classic popsicles.
The brand sent me the Peanut Butter Chocolate, Sea Salt Caramel and Berry Swirl flavors of the Keto Pops to sample. They also come in Chocolate Cheesecake. I also received a box of the Gourmet Fudge Pops, plus Strawberry Fruit Pops and Coconut Fruit Pops. The Fruit Pops are also available in Mango, Lime and Pineapple.
The Pops
Berry Swirl Keto Pop
My first foray into the Keto Pops was the Berry Swirl, and I have to say I was sold from the very first bite. The chocolate outer shell gave way with a satisfying crack, and the vanilla ice cream within, lined with bold berry swirls, packed plenty of flavor with a great creamy texture. At the end of the experience, I couldn't believe the pop had contained only two net carbs—and through some experimentation, I've discovered I love them even more when they're slightly melty.

Sea Salt Caramel Keto Pop
Next up, it was time to dig into the Sea Salt Caramel Keto Pop. This one had the same rich chocolatey coating, and the vanilla ice cream inside was ribboned with salty, buttery caramel. I didn't think this flavor combination had quite the contrast of the berry pop before it, but it was still delicious until the very last bite.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Keto Pop
Reese's lovers rejoice, because this low-carb Peanut Butter Chocolate Keto Pop has everything you need to satisfy your peanut butter cup craving. With delicious chocolate on the outside and bits of nutty, sweet peanut butter and even more chocolatey goodness on the inside, it'll tick all of your boxes with only three net carbs.

Gourmet Fudge Pop
Who doesn't love a classic fudge pop? This bar is a chocolatey delight from the first bite to the last lick, yet somehow manages to be only 80 calories despite its rich flavor. If you like fudge pops, you'll love this one from Halo Top. And did I mention it also packs six grams of protein?

Strawberry Fruit Pop
I was a little worried that 50% less sugar would mean that this fruity strawberry pop wouldn't be any good, but I shouldn't have been. It's flavored with real strawberry juice, with just a little stevia, to produce a pop with all of the tart goodness of real strawberries. It's just the thing for a sweltering summer's day—and we're heading into a lot of them.

Coconut Fruit Pop
I'm not usually into coconut cream pops, so I wasn't looking forward to this one much, but it only took one taste to completely turn me around. The creamy flavor was gentle and almost like ice cream. It had a hint of nuttiness without being overwhelmed with the flavor of coconut and just enough coconut bits to give it a hint of texture without being overly gritty. These quickly became a favorite in my household—and also have been the fastest to disappear.

Bottom Line
If you're already a diehard fan of Halo Top, I think you're about to fall in love with everything in their new line of pops. The Keto Pops pack lots of flavor and chocolatey crunch without the carbs, while their Gourmet Fudge Pops are a great update on a classic dessert, and their Fruit Pops reinvent the popsicle with fewer sugars. In my opinion, they're all delicious.
If you're not completely sold on Halo Top, however, the texture of the ice cream in the keto and fudge pops may not be exactly right for you. Even so, if they sound up your alley, I recommend you try them at least once. You may be surprised by what you discover.
