Harry Styles Released His Debut Solo Track and We’re Not Okay
It. Happened.
After waiting for what seems like forever, former One Direction member Harry Styles finally dropped his debut solo single—eeep!
Obviously his track made it onto our New Music Friday faves, but it's not the only one. Scroll below to listen to the five best new music releases of the week.
1. "Sign of the Times" by Harry Styles
Chills overtook our body the second the song started. Then when Harry started singing, we just about lost it. It's not at all what we were expecting from this dude, but it was nice to see he deviated from the poppy 1D tunes we're all used to. Can't wait for more to come from this kid!
2. "The Sound of Reverie" by The Maine
You already know we love this band more than anything, and we've anxiously been awaiting the release of their newest album Lovely, Little, Lonely. It dropped last night, so you better believe we had it on repeat until the wee hours of the morning. Front to back, The Maine's newest album is solid, but "The Sound of Reverie" has edged its way in front of the others for its upbeat instrumental and empowering lyrics.
3. "World Away" by Tonight Alive
If you're feeling lost and unsure in your life right now, this song from rock group Tonight Alive is for you. Reminding you that it's not always going to be like this, you'll feel like a better human after listening to the inspiring song.
4. "Honest" by The Chainsmokers
We're just going to say it, this is definitely the most honest song we've heard from The Chainsmokers thus far. While their songs usually get us dancing, this one tugs on your heartstrings and will have you wanting to call your loved ones immediately.
5. "It's Just a Lot" by K. Flay
Alternative artist K. Flay's brand new album Every Where Is Some Where is pure gold. Whatever it is, you're sure to feel something listening to the album in full. The track that caught our attention is "It's Just a Lot," as it's pretty relevant right now. Give it a listen below.
