The Experience

I was sent two types of burger patties—the Tajima American Wagyu Burger Half-Pound Patties ($18) and the Wagyu Brisket and Short-Rib Burger Half-Pound Patties ($18). Since I was simply tasting the quality of the meats and enjoying the experience, I was only sent two of each patty, but if you were to shop for your dad, I would definitely recommend getting your hands on more.

Holy Grail Steak Co. sent me their patties in next to no time and they showed up frozen and on dry ice. I assumed they would be fresh, but it actually turned out to be way better they were frozen! Not only do they travel better that way, but once I did decide to cook them up, they defrosted in next to no time.

 

Tajima American Wagyu Burger Half-Pound Patties ($18)

I cooked up the Tajima American Wagyu Burgers just last night, and my mind was completely blown. The burgers were absolutely humongous that I actually had to put half of mine away in the fridge for lunch today! My boyfriend scarfed down his entire burger and practically licked the plate clean. The patties were melt-in-your-mouth good, rich in flavor and boasted a perfectly pink center after we grilled them up. After placing them atop some brioche buns with some mayo, mustard, cheese and greens, they were ready to go.

Instead of serving them with fries like I typically would with a burger, I decided to bake up a yummy cheesy potato casserole. And together, the flavors complemented each other perfectly. While it was definitely a heavy meal, I think any dad who enjoys grilling and hearty meats will absolutely love the results of these burgers.

Wagyu Brisket and Short-Rib Burger Half-Pound Patties ($18)

I cooked up these Wagyu Brisket and Short-Rib Burgers two weeks ago, and not to toot my own horn, but they were the most gourmet, delicious burgers I have ever had in my life. Again, these patties were frozen, but after putting them on the counter for about an hour, they were perfectly thawed out. Instead of grilling them like the previous patties, I cooked these up on the stovetop, and wow, they were incredible and were done in no time.

For these patties, I served them atop a brioche bun with some mayo, cheese, arugula and mushrooms sauteed in truffle oil. I served them alongside sweet potato fries made in the air fryer, and the flavor combination here was out of this world. Bottom Line

When I initially agreed to try out the products from Holy Grail Steak Co., I honestly wasn't expecting them to be anything too special. But wow, I was wrong! These patties were perhaps some of the best I've had in my life, and at just $9 a patty, that's quite the steal. I think dads will enjoy getting a gift from Holy Grail Steak Co. this Father's Day.
