5 Easy Ways to Become a Morning Person
If you've ever seen a post about someone's morning routine and thought "that looks nice, but so does my snooze button," you certainly aren't alone.
Not everyone is a natural morning person, and that's okay! The good news is that you can easily become one with just a few simple tips. Try:
1. Setting Two Alarms
Many of us set the intention of shooting straight out of bed and getting the morning started, but that snooze button is just so sweet that you can help but press it. Try setting two alarms, one specifically 10 to 15 minutes before you actually intend to get up. This tricks your brain into getting in your extra snooze time, but you'll be more willing to actually get up when the second hits on schedule.

3. Falling In Love With Your Morning Routine
If you're a coffee connoisseur or even a fitness fiend, try making one of these things you love a part of your morning routine. This will give you something to look forward to so that you're more likely to get up earlier to make time for it, and the more you do it the easier it will get to wake up at a decent time (and in a decent mood). A few ideas could include taking a walk around your block or walking your dog, making a fancy latte, dancing around to your favorite tunes while you get ready or even just using your extra time to scroll TikTok in bed.
4. Actually Eating Breakfast
Whether it's still considered the most important meal of the day or not, breakfast is a chance to eat some pretty yummy food, and that's enough to get a lot of people out of bed on time. There are plenty of recipes you can actually make ahead of time if you know you'll end up low on prep time, from overnight oats to breakfast burrito bowls. Plus, eating breakfast will keep you from getting hangry before you even make it to school or work in the morning.
5. Trying Some Simple Stretches
Even if you don't have time for a full workout routine in the morning, simply stretching can still be super beneficial and set you up for a successful day. Once you're out of bed, try reaching your arms up high before bringing them all the way down to your toes. Taking some deep breaths and even saying some positive affirmations (think "I am smart and successful," "I'm going to ace this exam" etc.) while you're at it can give you the mood boost you need to totally conquer your day.
