How to Style Fall Outfits Using Only Autumnal Colors

Is there anything more fun than fall fashion? Here at Sweety High, we think not.

As fall aficionados, we're eagerly ushering in sweaters and knits, leather boots, cozy socks, wool coats and more. But our challenge this season? Using autumn's festive color palette as the primary scheme for all our seasonal styles. Below, we're showing you how to get creative with fall outfits using only autumnal tones.

Orange Jeans and Skirts

Orange jeans sort of sound crazy, right? But they can actually be totally cool when styled correctly. Pair your orange jeans—bonus points if they're corduroy—with a taupe sweater and yellow accents. Or, play off the pants and go for an orange striped top paired with seasonally appropriate witchy accents, like a black hat and boots.

Mix Fall Prints

Fall prints, like cozy stripes and plaid, tend to live in the warm, autumn tones, making them perfect to pair together! We like a cute plaid mini worn with a seasonally striped sweater for a directional look.

New Neutrals

Sure, brown, gray and cream are all in your neutral wheelhouse, but start considering burgundy and coppers as neutral hues too. We love a burgundy sweater styled with a warm brown mini for a new take on neutrals.

Orange Knits

When you envision yourself wrapped up in a delicious sweater, usually neutrals come to mind. But why not opt for something bold, like orange or yellow? The look is equally as cozy and plays nicely with skirts and trousers.

Rust Suiting

Need to dress up? Look no further than a super sophisticated rust suit instead of navy or black.

Autumn-Colored Accessories

Not ready to go crazy with orange and yellow knits? Make your look pop with a brightly colored accessory, like an orange scarf.

Totally Clueless

Make a totally Clueless moment in shades of neutral. A matching beige set topped off with a monochromatic beret is an all around outfit win.

Monochrome

Pick a color and stick to it. There's nothing more chic than wearing one color all over, like mustard.
