7 Cute Ways to Style Your Hair With a Headband

We're nothing if not innovative, especially when it comes to changing up our hair.

Lately, the hair game on our IG feeds has been on point. With fun accessories like pins, clips, barrettes, headbands and more, we truly have the world at our fingertips when it comes to creating out-of-the-box styles. At the moment, we're super into headbands, and love finding new and unique ways to wear them.

Keep reading for seven cute ways to style your hair with a headband:

1. Double It Up

Wearing two headbands at once might seem a bit excessive, but if done the right way, it looks stunning. We suggest using two of completely different shapes. One can be a thicker, puffy-like type, while the other can be more wiry, or encrusted with crystals. Make sure your hair is pulled back, behind the headbands, because by leaving out any pieces, it'll become way too busy of a situation.

2. High Pony

You know those days where you just can't find it in yourself to do your hair? It's okay, we've all been there. Whether you're just having a bad hair day or you're lazy, throwing your hair into a high pony will do wonders for your look. And by adding a headband, you instantly elevate it, making it look like you actually put a lot of time and energy into styling it.

3. Half-Up, Half-Down

We love rocking a half-up, half-down style from time to time. By pairing it with a fun headband, it comes out looking fierce! It's a total game-changer and looks best when the ponytail itself is texturized and bouncy. We suggest giving your hair a quick curl, using texturizing spray and putting it into the highest pony possible.

4. Pulled Back

This might seem like an obvious way to style your hair with a headband, but it's been overlooked by people lately. It's the most understated way to wear one and best if you need to keep your hair out of your face. Instead of just styling it like this when your cleansing your face or doing your makeup, rock this style all day long!

5. Natural, Messy Look

If you're lucky enough to have natural hair that doesn't look like you just rolled out of bed, we're V jealous. We suggest lightly tying a scarf headband around your hair, giving it that messy, natural look. It might take a few tries to get it looking just right, but trust us when we say it will not disappoint. Prepare yourself for an onslaught of compliments!

6. Face-Framing Pieces

For those of you who have shorter face-framing pieces, take advantage of them! Instead of pulling all of your hair back (please don't, your hair will stick up in awkward places), leave out some strands. The key here is making sure your ears are still covered, so play around with placing the headband on, seeing what works best for you.

7. Low Bun

Low buns are all the rage this year, and if you don't believe us, just scroll through your IG feed for some living proof. Whether you gather your hair into a loose, messy bun, or it's more ballerina style, it'll look great paired with a headband. With this style, you can either leave out a few face-framing pieces of hair, or just pull it back altogether. It's up to you!
