In Tegan Marie's newest release, she's leaving country roads behind in favor of an out-of-this-world experience.

Set to the tune of her newest song, the "I Don't Know What Is" music video features a cheeky, unexpected storyline. As Tegan sings about her upbringing in Flint, Michigan, an alien creates a world that mimics Tegan's own country-centric childhood!

"I Don't Know What Is" takes Tegan back to her small town roots, and the activities and values that made her who she is today. The video, however, expands on the song's playful message. With cutesy imagery, the video communicates an important point—you can create the life they want to live.

The video is especially telling of Tegan's own journey. From her small town roots to her position as  youngest female to sign to a major country label in 45 years, she's certainly embraced her ability to create the life she's always dreamed of. 

The new release comes on the heels of Tegan's announcement that she'll be performing on the Chevy Breakout Stage during CMA Fest in Nashville next month.
