In Real Life Tops Our 5 Fave New Music Releases This Week

It's been a hot minute, but our New Music Friday is back this week!

Why? Well, there's just so much good stuff out there that we feel compelled to share our picks with you.

From one of our top boy bands, to one of the most catchy rising country starlets, Sweety High staff rounds up our five fave new music releases of the week below:

1. 'Somebody Like You' by In Real Life

Sure, Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran released a collab today, but when it comes to pop picks of the week, In Real Life's "Somebody Like You" flies high above the rest. The lyrics are pretty relatable—I mean, who hasn't gushed over the one incomparable person in their life who just can't be topped? Ah, young love.

2. 'I'm Good' by Erin Reese

Erin Reese is new to the scene, but the country-pop singer is about to make her mark with her empowering second single, "I'm Good." Not one to buy into the drama or fakeness of Hollywood or her teen peers, Erin tells the world, loud and clear, that she's "good" with who she is and where she's at in life. Definitely an attitude to live by!

3. 'Flames' by SG Lewis f./Ruel

This dance track about surrendering to a love interest's mind games is all too relatable. If we like someone enough, we're essentially willing to go "down in flames" while chasing after them. Sigh.

4. 'Dancing Around' by flor

Indie music blogs go wild for flor, and we've gotta say, we totally get why. Regardless of your mood or the weather outside, "Dancing Around" is the easy-on-the-ears track you can't help but have on repeat. We dare you to tell us otherwise!

5. 'Missing You' by Ingrid Michaelson

Folk singer-turned-electro pop artist [?] Ingrid Michaelson just dropped an upbeat bop about being with someone while thinking about someone else. "When he's kissing me, I'm missing you," she sings over and over in the song. Sadly, been there one too many times.
