How to Incorporate More Color Into Your Wardrobe This Spring

We'll admit it—when we aren't feeling super inspired to create an eye-catching ensemble, we reach for our go-to all black outfits.

While there's nothing wrong with that, it can get pretty dang boring. With spring in full swing, it's that time of year to take a long and hard look at your closet, and determine whether or not you have good pieces for the season.

Keep reading for the six ways to incorporate more color into your wardrobe this spring.

Invest in a Statement Handbag

If you're not ready to venture out from your all-black outfits, start small by adding a pop of color. We think investing in a statement handbag is your best option. Opt for a bright color like hot pink, red or cobalt blue. Frequently wear the bag so that it becomes your staple piece of the spring.

Paint Your Nails a Shade of Neon

Heading to the nail salon and choosing a gel color is the best part of the nail experience. This spring, avoid darker colors and go for more neon or bright shades. The best part is that you can change up the colors as often as you like. If you paint them yourself with normal polish, you could switch it up every few days to go with your moods and outfits.

Wear Bright Dresses

Instead of reaching for your LBD, find a colorful, printed or bright one, instead. Whether you find a dress with an interesting pattern, or even one that's one bright color all the way through, it's an easy, no-hassle outfit that you can put together without a second's thought. TBH, that's why we love dresses so much—the outfit is already complete.

Sport Colorful Jackets Over Neutral Outfits

Spring is all about pastels. Dig through your closet and see if you have any pieces of outerwear that are in the pastel family. Whether it's a pale blue, green, lavender or something else, find a way to style it. We think it will look amazing paired over a neutral outfit of some sort. Keep the rest of your ensemble laid-back so that the jacket will remain the main focus.

Rock a Pair of Vibrant Sunnies

We love to rock a pair of vibrant sunglasses, especially when spring rolls around. The sun comes out, so why not find a killer pair of sunglasses to show off? You can go for mirrored sunnies, aviators, cat-eye—honestly, whatever your heart desires. Make sure that there's some color in them. Whether the rims are a cherry red or the lenses are a soft pink, it's the perfect addition of color.

Create a Monochromatic Ensemble

With this look, you'll initially be tempted to go for an all-black or all-white outfit, but steer clear! By putting together a monochromatic ensemble that's not black or white, you have the world at your fingertips. Spring is the perfect time to experiment with bold outfit choices, so don't be afraid to throw on that all-red look.
