The Gingerbread Peacock

Okay, this gingerbread creation may not be a house but its mastery makes it a top choice in our eyes.

Sometimes, when I can't find any butterflies to photograph, I stumble across peacocks made of gingerbread with a bokehlicious backdrop! ???? This confectionery masterpiece was created by my 15 year old daughter. She placed *2nd* in the teen division of the #NationalGingerbreadHouseCompetition at #TheOmniGoveParkInn! Angelique's peacock is 100% edible including all structural supports. The entire peacock is made completely of gingerbread and the individual pieces baked, painted with edible paint then glued together with royal icing and isomalt. The pillow is made with gingerbread dough and baked and the trim is made of gingerbread gumpaste.
