Netherworld – Atlanta, Georgia
One of the most frequently visited attractions in the U.S., this haunted house is much like Universal Horror Nights. Filled with special effects, actors and some majorly frightening monsters, there's no lack of opportunities to snap a pic worthy of the 'gram.
Gracie Mansion – New York City, New York
Although it's the official residence of the mayor of New York, there's more to this gorgeously 'grammable house than meets the eye. It's said to be haunted by the ghost of Elizabeth Wolcott Gracie who died unexpectedly after her wedding. We're sure it's filled with all kinds of eerie bumps in the night.
LaLaurie Mansion – New Orleans, Louisiana
If you're an American Horror Story fan, you may remember the character in Coven this house belonged to. Known as the Cruel Mistress of the Haunted House, it was discovered after a fire at the mansion that Madame LaLaurie tortured people in the upper level of the house. Yikes. It may have been the site of some serious horrors, but you also can't deny how beautiful the outside of this Louisiana mansion is for snapping photos.
Bran Castle – Bran, Romania
As classic a haunted house as it gets, we have the chilling Bran Castle. Located in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania, it has been around for more than 600 years and is the home of fictional horror icon Dracula. The dark halls and stony look of the place give it a historical feel like no other. Perfect for a quick (totally not creepy) Insta shot, right?
Real Mary King Close – Edinburgh, Scotland
Edinburgh is a great city filled with historical landmarks, amazing food and, oh yeah, haunted houses. Below the city lies a creepy underground network of streets and abandoned houses that have been there since the seventeenth century. Snap away here, if you dare.
The Whaley House – San Diego, California
It's said that San Diego's Whaley House has been home to paranormal activity since the 1800s. Before it was even built, the property was used for public hangings so we can imagine what the vibe is like over there. It sounds pretty spine-chilling, but it's definitely perfect for an IRL haunted house pic.
The Queen Mary – Long Beach, California
Don't be fooled by the majestic look of this legendary ship. It's a beautiful tourist attraction by day, and home to haunted late-night tours by night. As long as you prepare yourself for what you might find, feel free to roam the slightly unnerving halls taking killer (????) photos.
