Jade LeMac Shares an Anthem of Presence and Gratitude With ‘Pink Balloon’
Canadian pop singer-songwriter Jade LeMac made a lasting impression with her debut hit single "Constellations" last year, and her strengths as both a performer and a writer have only grown since.
The viral TikTok artist's new single, "Pink Balloon," is also poised to be a sensation, with a dreamy sound backed by romantic piano and soaring strings that demands the audience's attention. Jade's heartfelt vocals further elevate the single as she sings about the importance of cherishing the memories you've created with a loved one, regardless of what the future might hold. We had the pleasure of catching up with Jade to learn more about how the song came to be and what it means to her in the interview below.
The Story Behind 'Pink Balloon'
Jade LeMac: I feel that many people take things for granted during their lives. It's something I've always worried about, especially when it comes to my relationships. With this song, I wanted to tell the story of someone who is able to really hold onto and cherish the memories that they share with a loved one.

What 'Pink Balloon' Means
JL: This song means a lot to me. It took a long time for it to feel right, and I wrote it about someone very special. I'm hoping listeners are able to connect it to their own personal experiences and kind of create their own meaning with it.
Jade's Favorite Lyric
JL: "Your skin is like the sun. Burns me to the touch, but I cannot get enough."
I think that's my favorite lyric personally, just because it explains that feeling of nervousness and excitement when you first start to really get to know someone.
