Jamie Miller Reveals the Meaning of His Smooth New Single, ‘Onto Something’
Welsh singer-songwriter Jamie Miller is absolutely one to watch, and his latest single, "Onto Something" is the smooth, romantic track you've been waiting for.
It's totally classic R&B with a modern edge, and Jamie's vocals truly make the track soar—and that's not even to mention the music video, which is very likely to leave you crushing on Jamie by its end.
We think Jamie is definitely "onto something," which is why we had to learn more about the track, as well as Jamie's musical process. Read our interview below to find out what he revealed to us.
Sweety High: What was the inspiration behind "Onto Something"?
Jamie Miller: Falling for someone, but having a light-hearted message behind it!
SH: What emotions was it important for you to get across in the track?
JM: It was an important song for me, a fun groove with a flirty message. You see someone you're into and you're like "Hey, this could be cool! We might be onto something here."

SH: Are you a "love at first sight" type of person?
JM: I never was… but I think I am. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, so I guess you could say I am!
SH: What themes from the song was it important for you to get across in the music video?
JM: I wanted to show people I could dance and groove, and that I'm not serious 100% of the time—I can also be a goofball!
SH: How has the pandemic changed the way you make music, if at all? Has it been a challenge?
JM: I guess by now I'd be going out on the road, on radio station tours, etc., so that aspect has changed, obviously. Writing has been a challenge because you can't do in-person sessions, now it's all over Zoom. But I think it's just made me more passionate!

SH: Are there any artists that are particularly inspiring you during these unusual times?
JM: Artists like Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber are really killing the game right now. I have so much respect for them!
