Photo Diary: Jaylee Gandy Takes Us Behind the Scenes of Her ‘Down the Road’ Music Video
Hey, Sweety High!
My name is Jaylee Gandy, I'm 18 years old, and I was born, raised and most recently graduated in Idalou, Texas this year. In addition to raising and showing livestock my entire life, I've spent my high school years writing and recording country songs. My latest single, "Down the Road," commemorates my high school graduation and all the friends and memories I've made over the years. I'm at a point in my life where so many of my classmates and I are going off to do incredible things and in so many places, and I just refuse to say goodbye to any of them. Instead, I just tell them I'll see them down the road. It makes this moment in my life a whole lot easier!
I was so lucky to have some of my best friends join me to film my music video for the song, and I'm so excited to bring Sweety High behind the scenes in my "Down the Road" Photo Diary.
The Old Family Truck
Here's me and my best friends getting ready to film in the back of an old family truck! The beginning of a long day of super fun filming.

The Beat Up Bus
It was so hot waiting to film inside the "beat up bus," we are probably gossiping like most teenage girls do!
Getting My Diploma
Finally getting my diploma and graduating! So exciting yet bittersweet. So many memories were made at Idalou ISD!
'The Star-Spangled Banner'
I got the privilege of singing the national anthem at my graduation! They also played my song, "Down the Road," as my entire class walked across the stage to graduate. It was surreal!

My Prom Dress
Singing "Down the Road" on a football field in a prom dress. Can you get any more "small-town?" I loved filming this scene, though!
Back in the Truck
Back in our old truck! We were all hungry at this point! I loved the friends that got to come and be a part of something so special to me!
