Hairstylist and AIIR Professional Founder Jenny Strebe on ‘Turning Routines Into Rituals’
Jenny Strebe has built her Confessions of a Hairstylist platform on so much more than just cutting hair.
The hairstylist of 19 years has made a name for herself as a blogger and content creator, as well as the founder of AIIR Professional, a holistic hair care company. The brand using holistic vegan ingredients infused with real gemstones for both great results and positively radiant energy, and there's a reason their customers are obsessed. We got the chance to chat with Jenny to learn all about her work and the brand in the interview below.

1. Since she was a kid, Jenny knew she wanted to be a hairstylist.
"I would, of course, style and cut my Barbie's hair like most little girls, but the moment I knew it was more to me than dolls was when I gave a girl a makeover when I was in fourth grade and it changed how she felt immediately. It was very rewarding for me."

2. The name AIIR Professional was inspired by Jenny's dreams.
"The name AIIR comes from our founder, who found herself gazing into the sky; dreaming of the possibilities of life and all the lands the clouds touch. Her story is defined by reaching my dreams despite the odds. The ebbs and flows of life are a wild ride and amazing hair is just one detail of our everyday life—a detail which you can focus on to prove we can incorporate nature and positive energy whilst having great hair. "I do hot yoga every day, and it is great to use in between classes! Also, it gives my fine hair some volume when I need it the most."

"It's the one I put the most work and care into. It was also the first products that I went into full production with. It's infused with crystal quartz, which is the crystal for manifestation. I am big into manifestation and the use of affirmations and mind set."

6. The best piece of advice she ever got was about solving problems.
"There is always a solution to every problem—you just need to take a deep breath and find it."

7. Jenny believes that having the right mindset matters.
"Daily practices like yoga, breathing, writing down goals and affirmations. I spend my mornings taking the time to keep my mind right, work out, eat well and get to my yoga classes. The way you begin and end your day is so important! Another habit that has helped me in my business has been to make decisions after I have had time to think about them and making sure they align with everything that I do."

8. One big tip she wants to share with the world is that glamorous waves don't have to be hard.
"My go-to trick for them is to curl your hair the same direction around the head with your Flexible Hold Hairspray prior to curling, let it cool for a few minutes and lightly brush your hair out. The curls will interlock, giving you a classic look perfect for fun occasions."

9. The most rewarding thing about the work she does is connecting with people and learning about how they connect to the brand.
"I still go to hair shows and events, which not a lot of founders do, and I talk to as many people as I can. I love to be able to be close to everything that we do at AIIR!"

"I have a great sense of humor and it's a huge part of my happiness is to laugh about everything. Even when it's tough."
