Stand Out at Coachella By Following YouTuber Jessie Paege’s Foolproof Pointers
The moment plenty of you have been waiting for is right around the corner—Coachella!
Though the festival being so close is nothing short of exciting, it can be a bit stressful for any of you who still have some last minute preparations to deal with before the big weekend.
Thankfully, we're here to help make your three-day outfit planning a bit easier.
The best place to start with figuring out your ensembles is to pack the essentials.
Our girl Jessie Paege told Sweety High the three things everyone should bring to Coachella are fashionable sneakers, fun accessories and "really cute" headpieces.
And when we asked her what not to rock to the festival, Jessie called out heels.
"Wearing them is asking for torture," Jessie said. "They may be cute, but they're definitely not practical."
So what would be Jessie's preferred choice of footwear?
"Definitely Converse or Vans," she noted. "They're super comfortable and literally go with anything."
We couldn't agree more.
And while it's important to be comfy at the festival, you also want to have some fun with the way you dress. But how can you stand out without sacrificing comfort? Simple: Rock bold colors.
"I feel like a lot of people tend to go towards the same type of boho style that can be very neutral," Jessie shared. "If you wear super bright colors, you'll stick out a bit more."
As far as accessories go, Jessie believes there is no limit to the amount you can sport.
"Unless you're wearing too many chokers to the point where you're literally choking yourself, I feel like there's no such thing as too many accessories," she said.
One of the most important accessories though is something to keep all of your belongings safe while you're running around the festival grounds.
For Jessie, that happens to be a backpack.
"I like the really small backpacks," she said. "They're not the most practical, but I think they're really cute."
Jessie's offered some stellar advice in the clothing department, but we can't forget to cover hair and makeup.
When it comes to hair, Jessie is all about braids.
"Your hair could easily get knotted from leaving it down," she said. "I feel like braids look so cute and look good on everyone, so they're the way to go."
And for her makeup, Jessie's main goal is to keep her skin safe by wearing products that contain SPF.
"I always make sure I wear makeup products that have SPF in them," she said. "A lot of people forget that, but it's super important."
This doesn't mean her makeup is going to be ordinary though, she still plans on going wild when it comes to her eyes.
"I'll be focusing more on lashes," she shared. "I love using false lashes, so I'll probably just go crazy when it comes to that."
At the end of the day, what you wear is up to you. Jessie only urges you not to choose looking cute over being comfortable.
"If you put the way you look over comfort, you'll regret that later," she said. "It's such a long festival and the days are so long, you need to find the perfect balance. Even if something looks great, you may have to wear something else because it's not comfortable enough. Just accept it, move on and keep looking."
Couldn't have said it better ourselves, Jessie.
