When Are Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Getting Married?
UPDATE (August 15, 2018): Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are slowing things down! Someone close to the couple told People that things were "getting quite intense" so they've decided they're "not rushing the wedding." This in no way means the wedding is off. The young and in love duo wants to "enjoy being engaged"and "definitely want to get married."
It makes sense that, given all the excitement and pressure around their wedding, Justin and Hailey would want to take a step back and remember it's all about them and not meeting our expectations. That puts the wedding date in late 2019, or maybe some time in 2020… or even 2021.
Sigh. As long as we get an invite, the delay is forgiven.
PREVIOUSLY: When Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin moved from "it's complicated" to "engaged" at warp speed in July, it seemed possible that a wedding date could be around any corner. So far, though, one has yet to be announced.
Given that Justin and Hailey's engagement came out of left field for a lot of people, there has been a lot of speculation about their relationship and when—and if—the big day will be. Now, thanks to a new report, we may have a better idea: Sources told TMZ the wedding is likely to take place in 2019.
We're not nearly as shocked by this as we were by Justin's beach proposal; taking at least a year to plan a wedding is pretty standard, after all. The couple only became engaged in early July, so they should enjoy their engagement while they can. Planning a wedding is work—serious work.
For now, TMZ's sources say that they couple feels good about the commitment they've made. One of the insiders also defended the progression of Justin and Hailey's on-again, off-again relationship, saying, "Justin's been in love with her for a long time, so this didn't just come from out of the blue."
Whatever the case, waiting till 2019 is a solid plan. 2018 was already the year of the Royal Wedding, so all other weddings might as well just give up.
