KFC Is Switching Things up With Pickle Fried Chicken—But It Won’t Last

If you haven't been getting enough pickles in your life, that is all about to change: KFC is introducing the menu option for you.

Starting June 25, KFC will sell pickle fried chicken, combining "two savory staples America loves," according to the fast food chain. Apparently, people have actually been begging for more pickles, and this menu item was created in response to their pleas.

Sadly for those pickle aficionados, pickle fried chicken is only going to be available for a limited time. KFC says its locations will only sell the new option for a few weeks, and then "once it's gone, it's gone for good." Basically, move fast if you want to try it.

What makes KFC's pickle fried chicken different is a pickle sauce that coats the chain's usual Extra Crispy Chicken. It's made from a blend of flavors that includes dill, vinegar, onion, garlic, buttermilk, and white and black pepper, according to the company. Bustle got to try it early and described it as "subtle, but extremely spot-on," lamenting only the fact that it doesn't come in a bottle.

If that has your mouth watering, make sure you get to KFC as close to June 25 as you can to ensure that you can have your own pickle fried chicken experience.
