Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is a new game for the Nintendo Wii U that combines charming characters, inventive controls and a blast of color for a gameplay experience that's just plain fun. If you've loved past Kirby incarnations, we have 5 big reasons you'll love this one.

1. The graphics

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse's claymation-style animation is gorgeous. Everything looks like it was actually hand-molded out of clay, including the landscapes and adorable characters, and the style doesn't let up for the entirety of the game.

2. Trasformations

In the new game, Kirby gives up inhaling creatures to borrow their skills for the chance to transform into powerful vehicles with the help of Elline's paintbrush. His tank, submarine and rocket ship are not just super cute but also pack a punch!

3. The learning curve

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse isn't your average video game. Instead of controlling Kirby directly, you guide him around by drawing beautiful rainbow ropes. The controls are intuitive and straightforward, with absolutely no tutorial reading required.

4. Multiplayer mode

Multiplayer mode invites the lovable spear-bearing Waddle-Dees into the fold to help Kirby attack his enemies and collect what he needs to proceed. Occasionally Claycia's evil hands will try to snatch Kirby up, making for some frenetic gameplay you won't soon forget.

5. Collectibles!

A huge part of the fun of the game is collecting absolutely everything include fabulous character trophies, Elline's wonderfully illustrated secret diary and classic Kirby music. You'll definitely want to get them all.
