A Definitive Ranking of Kung Fu Tea’s Best-Selling Drinks
Whether you're new to bubble tea or simply enjoy a restaurant with unlimited options, Kung Fu Tea has something for everyone. There are over 10 topping flavors, multiple sugar levels and flavors ranging from citrus fruits to chocolate.
With such an expansive menu, it can be hard to decide what item to order. Looking to get into boba or try something new? I tasted 10 of Kung Fu Tea's bestselling drinks to make your decision easier. Keep reading to see which drink ranked at the top of our list.
10. Winter Melon Milk Cap
I had high hopes for this drink because the winter melon flavoring I tried in another drink was great, but I don't think the combination of winter melon and cream works well together. Unlike Kung Fu Tea's other tart fruit flavors, it seems more difficult to get rid of the tart flavor with winter melon.
9. Kung Fu Milk Tea
There's not too much to say about this drink. It tastes exactly like what it is: milk and tea. It's not terrible or great, and with all the options available at Kung Fu Tea, I'd rather go for something more fun.

8. Honey Oolong Tea
Honey Oolong Tea has a very earthy taste. I usually steer away from teas because I'm not a fan of earthy flavors, but the honey in this drink is redeeming and would pair nicely with honey boba.
This drink almost tastes medicinal (I'd love this if I had a cold!), but that doesn't mean it is a bad drink. It's just not something I, personally, would order again.
7. Herbal Jelly Wow
Herbal Jelly Wow is one of the brown sugar drinks from Kung Fu Tea's lactose-free line. I always love brown sugar, but the herbal jelly was irritating to deal with, and I didn't like the flavor. Like the Honey Oolong Tea, this topping has an earthy flavor, and it was slightly bitter. Because the jelly pieces are so large, it was also hard to actually eat it without tearing the seal to chop it into smaller pieces.
If I'd had this drink with the tapioca pearls, it would rank significantly higher.

6. Mango Green Tea
What I think Kung Fu Tea does best is sweet drinks, and the Mango Green Tea falls into the fruity, tangy category.
It reminds me of the fruit teas at Starbucks, so it's a quality drink, but I, again, would prefer to have something that is sweet. However, this drink is super refreshing. I could see myself ordering it again on a hot summer day if I wanted something light.
5. Oreo Slush
The Oreo Slush, as expected, tastes similar to one of their other bestsellers, Oreo Wow Milk, but doesn't live up to the same standard.
I ordered this drink with tapioca pearls, which usually come out hot, but the slush is so cold that it makes the pearls lukewarm and a little slimy. I don't really enjoy strong chocolate flavors, and this drink includes Hershey's chocolate syrup, which made the chocolate taste too overpowering.
Regardless, slushes from Kung Fu Tea are great because they're never too icy and crunchy. This was more creamy, like a smoother version of a milkshake.
4. Strawberry Slush
This drink caught me by surprise! In my experience, strawberry syrup can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's too tart or bland, but the flavoring of this drink was great. It doesn't really have the taste of real strawberries—it's more like the artificial flavor of strawberry milk, which I prefer for a drink that I'm going to consume as a dessert.

3. Purple Yam Latte
I remember having this drink years ago and really enjoyed the flavor. Purple yam and taro have a very similar taste since they're both in the sweet potato family. Taro is slightly sweeter (if you can't tell, I enjoy flavors that are sweet), so the Purple Yam Latte is right below one of Kung Fu Tea's taro bestsellers. It usually comes back every spring, so fingers crossed for another return of the Purple Yam Latte!
2. Taro Slush
Taro and boba are a classic combination, so I already knew that I would enjoy this drink. I'd previously tried their Taro Milk Tea, but I didn't think the taro meshed well with tea. If you purely like the taste of taro, the Taro Slush is the best item to get from Kung Fu Tea.
1. Oreo Wow Milk
I've been drinking Kung Fu Tea for nearly five years, and the Oreo Wow Milk will forever be my go-to order. This drink is literally Oreos and milk combined, which makes me surprised that I've never seen this combo at another boba place.
The best part of this drink is when you order it with fresh tapioca pearls, and the first sip is the perfect balance of ice-cold milk and warm pearls. The milk and heat from the boba melt the Oreos, which really helps the flavor of the Oreo disperse evenly throughout the drink and makes it super easy to get the cookie chunks to flow up the straw.
