Laura Marano Surprises Students At UNICEF Event!
Laura Marano surprised students at Glassell Park Elementary earlier this week at a school assembly supported UNICEF. She is Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF's new ambassador!
"I just had the best time at the Glassell Park Elementary School assembly for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF," Laura said in an Instagram video. "I surprised the kids and they're really adorable. No seriously, they're super adorable."
She also took place in a live Google Hangout to spread the word about what Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is all about.
"On Halloween night, instead of just trick-or-treating and getting candy, you go door-to-door with your adorable orange UNICEF boxes and you collect funds for UNICEF," she explained.
These funds go to kids around the world who don't have access to clean water, food, and education.
"It's just an incredible organization, it's an incredible campaign that is really fun and easy for kids to get involved with," Laura said.
UNICEF are also holding the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF School Challenge, which allows students and teachers to demonstrate what UNICEF means to them through a video, photo collage, or other art form to win their teacher a trip to Africa with UNICEF, plus $1000 for the classroom!
"Thank you Glassell Park Elementary for your AWESOME energy yesterday! Can't wait to see your ideas for the School Challenge :D" Laura Tweeted.
