Everything You Wanted to Know About ‘Keeping Score’ Singer-Songwriter Leanna Firestone

With her irresistible pop hooks and universally relatable indie pop anthems, 23-year-old singer-songwriter Leanna Firestone should be on everyone's radars in 2025.

The Nashville-based cult favorite artist has a number of super hits under her belt, including "Strawberry Mentos," "Diet Coke" and "Least Favorite Only Child," captivating listeners with a perfect balance of raw honesty and playful wit. She manages to transform those awkward moments we would usually rather forget into anthems we can't help but scream along to.

In 2024, Leanna embarked on the Becoming Unbecoming Tour, her first-ever headlining tour, and after dropping her iconic new revenge-pop single,"Keeping Score," last month, she unveiled its playful country western-themed music video last week. Today, we're celebrating her story so far, and below, you can discover everything she shared with us as our Woman Crush Wednesday.

3. She's definitely seen more of Marvel than DC.

4. She says her most-used emoji is "unfortunately" the nod 🙂‍↕️

5. She says Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird has made a big impact on her life.

"But really, any movie of a girl who has a strained relationship with the world and her mother, I am going to love. I think that this one impacted me the most because we see that Lady Bird grows up and grows out. We see her weirdness change from being a wall between her and others to a connection between them—we also see her start to understand her mom more, which I thought was a really nice touch."

6. Leanna says she has "literally no talents."

"My hobbies are very mundane, but one not many people know is that I paint! I can only paint flowers, but in my hometown some people commissioned my paintings and they're displayed on the side of sheds and barns. I would say the weirdest trick I have is being able to complete a Sudoku puzzle in less than three minutes."
