9 Lesser-Known Coachella Acts You Can’t Miss at the Festival

Weekend one of Coachella is a little less than a month away, and we've been counting down the days by listening to Lady Gaga and Lorde on repeat.

While we can't wait to watch both of these amazing ladies take the stage, we wouldn't forgive ourselves if we missed a few of the festival's lesser-known acts.

Get to know these artists below prior to the fest, and we assure you, you won't want to miss them either!

The Avalanches

Why you can't miss them: These Australian natives produce songs full of such spirit and life, they'll remind you never to take anything for granted. Their melodious jams are sure to put you in a positive mood for the rest of the festival.

Why you can't miss her: This South African-Swiss DJ produces some of the best deep house tracks in the business. If you've shied away from this genre before, you'll be a fan of it after you jam out to Nora En Pure's hits.

Why you can't miss them: For fans of head-banging instrumentals and gritty vocals, Icelandic rockers Kaleo are right up your alley. These dudes know how to jam out, and we're guessing their set will leave us feeling some type of way.

Warpaint

Why you can't miss them: We've been fans of indie rock band Warpaint for quite some time now, but every time we catch one of their performances, it's as if we're seeing them for the first time. These ladies are rad and know how to enrapture an audience. By the end of their set, you'll be left wanting even more.

The Head and the Heart

Why you can't miss them: For those of you looking for more peaceful, calming tunes that'll still get you grooving, we highly recommend indie folk band The Head and the Heart. They'll have you de-stressing after a hectic festival experience in no time at all.

Car Seat Headrest

Why you can't miss them: With piercingly honest lyrics, indie rock band Car Seat Headrest are sure to evoke a melancholy feeling over you within seconds of listening to their songs. They don't hold back with their punchy words and fast-paced instrumentals, and we love that.

Why you can't miss them: First off, the alternative pop band is comprised of Lucky Blue and his four sisters. Whether or not you're a fan of their music, it's worth stopping by their set to catch a glimpse of handsome Lucky playing the drums—swoon! Though they only have a few songs, they'll surely be stuck in your head throughout the duration of Coachella.

Why you can't miss her: With a voice sweeter than honey, singer-songwriter Nao's vocals will captivate you. They're enthralling and smooth as butter. If you're only able to catch one artist from this list, we pray it's Nao.

Grace Mitchell

Why you can't miss her: Unapologetically herself, spunky singer-songwriter Grace Mitchell has a sound unlike anyone else. No two songs of hers are alike, yet they're all so Grace. She's truly bewitching, making it easy to instantly fall in love with her.
