All About Loossemble’s Self-Titled Debut Album and Their Start as a New Group
As the saying goes, a picture is worth 1,000 words, or in this case, a music video. Rather than saying "we're back and better than ever," the girls of Loossemble show it through their "Sensitive" music video. As the fun and upbeat video comes to a close, it takes a more profound turn as we see ViVi and HyunJin gazing at a holographic map of the U.S. with several cities highlighted. The video ends with the spaceship they're on hurtling toward Earth, presumably to the cities featured on the map. Although this scene is short, it carries weight by symbolizing the next stage in the group's career: their journey to the U.S. to embark on their debut tour as Loossemble.
So, who exactly is Loossemble? Comprised of HyunJin, ViVi, GoWon, HyeJu and YeoJin, the K-pop girl group is made up of a few former Loona members. However, rather than completely starting from scratch as a new group, Loossemble bridges the gap between their past and future by retaining some of their Loona identity. Whether it's in overt ways, such as the meaning of their group name (a portmanteau of the words Loona and assemble) or more subtle ways, such as the bits of Loona lore that are interspersed throughout the "Sensitive" music video, the group provides a sense of familiarity for long-time fans and intrigue for new fans.
Keep reading to see what Loossemble had to say on their re-debut, the Loosemble album and their goals as a group in our interview below.
Sweety High: What has been the most exciting thing about debuting with Loossemble?
HyunJin: The responses from our fans as we continue with the promotion are the most exciting thing for me.
YeoJin: The fact that we will be able to unveil a new side of ourselves with the five members is very exciting.
ViVi: I'm excited to meet our fans, C.Loo, again.
GoWon: I'm thrilled to connect with many fans as we make our debut with the U.S. tour.
HyeJu: It's very fun and exciting to see the results of our direct participation and the expression of our opinions in this album.
SH: Can you explain some of the feelings you had surrounding re-debuting? Were you excited? Scared?
HyunJin: After experiencing solo projects, unit collaborations, and being part of the full lineup, this is my fourth debut with a new combination of members. Considering that, I find that fear has given way to a stronger spirit of determination and a growing sense of self-confidence.
YeoJin: I wasn't scared. Rather, I was very excited for the debut.
ViVi: I had mixed emotions with this debut. I was somewhat excited about it and nervous at the same time.
GoWon: As this was a new beginning, I had my own concerns, but I found it very enjoyable as it was another debut alongside other members that I've spent a lot of time with.
HyeJu: Making the decision to re-debut was quite challenging for me. Yet, thanks to the fans who have waited for us and supported us, I was able to take the step.
SH: Your album starts off with "Intro: Searching for their friends." Aside from friends, what else do you hope to find during this journey as Loossemble?
HyunJin: I hope to find stability. As our group is in its initial stage, I'm aware that we might be somewhat unfamiliar even to our existing fans. That's why I'd like to give them a sense of stability and familiarity by actively promoting Loossemble.
YeoJin: Love from our C.Loo.
ViVi: Our own unique color as Loossemble and a future together.
GoWon: First of all, I want to reunite with the C.Loo that have consistently supported us, and I'm also excited to welcome the new fans as well. Also, I want to find Loossemble's own colors and uniqueness on the way.

SH: What did you enjoy the most about your tour?
HyunJin: I enjoyed being on the stage the most. I've been eagerly waiting for it, and performing on stage brings me the greatest happiness. It's too bad that being on stage always feels too short.
YeoJin: Meeting our international fans.
ViVi: I loved that I was able to meet our C.Loo in the U.S.
GoWon: Singing alongside our fans on stage was special. It felt like I was receiving all their love and energy.
HyeJu: Reuniting with the fans who came to our U.S. tour last year was a truly touching experience.
SH: What lessons did you learn at the beginning of your career that you'll carry with you as Loossemble?
HyunJin: Let's move forward with confidence, trusting in the intuition that has guided me this far!
YeoJin: What truly matters is an unbreakable spirit.
ViVi: Enjoy the journey and keep fighting for it!
GoWon: Life is a continuous series of choices, and as long as you believe that the path you've chosen is the right one, then it will be. We'll keep following Loossemble's unique path.
HyeJu: I've learned how to rise even after a fall, and I believe there will be no regrets as long as I enjoy the challenges that come my way.

SH: A lot of the songs from your album were co-written by members. Does conveying emotions through songwriting come naturally to you all, or did it take some getting used to?
HyunJin: I took my time to write the lyrics with care. However, I did feel a bit rushed since the album release date was approaching. I pulled an all-nighter to write the lyrics, and I'm happy with the outcome. It definitely shows that hard work pays off!
YeoJin: Writing the lyrics wasn't challenging for me because I did it while thinking about the members.
ViVi: It took me a bit of time because it was my first attempt at writing lyrics and I contemplated how to effectively convey my thoughts.
GoWon: Writing lyrics for the first time presented some challenges, but as I focused on expressing the story I wanted to tell, it started to flow naturally, and I found it quite enjoyable.
HyeJu: This was my first experience writing lyrics, so it was quite challenging and I felt unsure of what to do. I wish to achieve a better outcome the next time I try.
SH: How do you think the album's themes relate to where you are in life right now?
HyunJin: As we start on a new journey, it feels like my mindset has shifted as well, just like embarking on a journey. Traveling can be both exhilarating and nerve-wracking, with its share of challenges, but I believe it's all a meaningful and valuable experience.
ViVi: I think the album captures the narrative of our past, present, and future.
GoWon: I think the album effectively portrays the story of Loossemble's new journey and reflects our faith in what lies ahead.
HyeJu: It literally is a new beginning for us. Also, it's time for us to sprint toward the future.
SH: Is there anything else you would like to add?
ViVi: We, as Loossemble, are embarking on a fresh start and have exciting plans in store. We sincerely ask for your interest and love.
GoWon: Our first mini-album, Loossemble was carefully produced with love from all the members. Please send us your support and affection for this album!
HyeJu: I've truly enjoyed our U.S. tour, and I'm glad to be able to wrap it up in good health. Thank you for your love and interest in the album.
