Best Ways to Do Makeup With Only 5 Minutes to Spare
You know when you're running out the door, and you feel like your head isn't screwed on right?
It's okay, we've all been there. Putting on matching socks, making a cup of coffee and applying makeup is no easy task when there's a ticking clock. So, how do you manage your time? What takes priority? For us, we always make sure to have at least a few minutes to do our makeup.
Keep scrolling for the best ways to do your makeup with only five minutes to spare:
1. Start Off With a Tinted Moisturizer
Now is not the time to go full glam. Keep things simple and fresh by opting for a tinted moisturizer. This will keep dryness at bay while also giving you a subtle glow. Tinted moisturizers are great because they help to even out skin tone, making for a more put-together appearance.
2. Concealer Is a Must
Chances are, you only have five minutes to spare because you slept in or are running late. If that's the case, we're willing to bet you have some major under-eye bags. Take care of them with a concealer, making reverse triangles under your eyes, and blending them in with a makeup sponge.
3. Fill in Your Brows
Take care of those brows, girl! If you weren't blessed with perfectly filled-in brows, absolutely do not skip this step. By filling in your brows, you're giving some much-needed definition to that beautiful face of yours. A tinted gel should do the trick, but if your brows are super light, use a pencil, too.
4. Apply a Coat of Mascara
When it comes to looking lively, mascara is a must. By sweeping on even one coat of mascara, you're opening your eyes up, making you look more awake and ready to take on the day. If you're used to applying multiple coats of mascara, start out with a lash curler, and then put on one to two coats for a voluminous look.
5. Choose Blush or Bronzer
If your makeup drawer is jam-packed with a variety of blushes and bronzers, now is not the time to play around! Stick with what you know works with your skin tone. In a real time crunch, we suggest deciding between a blush or a bronzer. Creams or powders will work just fine.
6. Finish Off With Some Gloss
To finish off your five-minute makeup look, swipe some gloss on your lips. This is the quickest step, so there's really no excuse for skipping it. Gloss will give your lips some much-needed moisture and will also give them a kissable pop!
