Maleficent Trailer Gives Sleeping Beauty a Twist!

The upcoming movie Maleficent is a live-action update on the Disney classic, Sleeping Beauty. The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent and Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora!

The film is a new take on Sleeping Beauty,  telling the story from the point of view of the misunderstood Maleficent, protector of the forest. When she is betrayed, her kind heart changes.

Maleficent places a curse on the newborn Princess Aurora, heir to the king of the invading kingdom. We'll have to wait for more to be revealed to see what happens next!

The trailer is visually stunning, with incredible special effects. Jolie looks just like the classic cartoon depiction of Maleficent!

The trailer also features Jolie's 5-year-old daughter, Vivienne, as a young Princess Aurora. She won the role because she wasn't scared of her mother in the Maleficent getup!

The movie premieres on May 30, 2014. Will you show up on opening night?
