21-year-old singer-songwriter maryjo first captured our hearts appearing on the 19th season of American Idol, and has since captivated us with her anything-but-basic approach to the pop genre.
The Cleveland-based artist has continued to make a name for herself, showcasing her incredible voice and searingly vulnerable songwriting, and earning herself more than 1.3 million TikTok followers, as well as a deal with Atlantic Records in the process. Her stunning debut single "Love Fools" is one of our favorite heartbreak ballads of the year, while last month's "Don't Call Me" continued the narrative with an angry yet upbeat lampooning of her ex.
