Each month, we nominate a few very special Sweetys to be potential Sweety Ambassadors.

Check out this interview and get to know one of our latest Sweety Ambassadors, nishadenise!

Sweety High is about discovering your dreams in an environment safe from bullying, and nishadenise has been one of our strongest advocates against bullying, all while sharing her own creative achievements!

She spoke with us about exactly what it means to be a Sweety Ambassador!

SH: What does the term "girl power" mean to you?

nishadenise: I think the term girl power means all girls having the confidence to stand together as one. Girl power is needed because it keeps girls feeling safe away from negative things that come their way. Knowing they have a team of positive girl power behind them. Nothing can stop them.

SH: Why is it important to speak out against bullying?

nishadenise: It is important to speak loud and clear about bullying because people need to know that people do care , that there are people who aren't afraid to  stand behind you or someone when they are getting bullying. They need to have the self esteem to speak up. When I was getting bullied my mom told me to tell an adult or a teacher but my teachers were that caring so I felt like there was no one else. That's why I think everyone should have that feeling that there are people out there that will stand behind you and keep you and keep you and your self esteem safe. I want me and my music to be that.

SH: What is your favorite thing to do on Sweety High?

nishadenise: My favorite thing to do is upload my music because I love the reactions of the fans.  It's amazing, I write music to help bring the self esteem and happiness out of many girls who have lost it due to bullying.  I want to be that girl that fans can come talk to and know I'm going to be behind them in any positive hint they d every step of the way and if they need me I will try my best to be there. That's what I needed when I was getting bullied and that's what they need. I also write music to tell girls how beautiful they are because they deserve the right to know.

SH: Do you have any role models or inspirations?

nishadenise: My inspirations are those girls who can stand and say I have overcame bullying. My other inspirations are Ariana Grande cause she is amazing and any artist on radio Disney. Lol, I'm 18 and I prefer Radio Disney over any other radio station. I always tell my fans don't grow up too fast. You don't have to change because your friends do or the world seems like it's changing.

SH: What do you think it takes to be a good Sweety role model?

nishadenise: Determination, A good heart , a smile and most of all being yourself.

Also check out my new anti bullying campaign called the girls only district. Just opened in August .  It's ran by my anti-bullying organization PGAB ORGANIZATION which stands for PRETTY GURLS AGAINST BULLYING. Here's the website.
