On November 18, 1928, Mickey Mouse made an appearance in "Steamboat Willie," the first cartoon to ever feature synchronized sound! The animation, produced by Walt Disney, set a sound precent that quickly became a staple in animation!
Technically, Mickey appeared in two silent cartoons, "Plane Crazy" and "The Gallopin' Gaucho," before "Steamboat Willie," but today is still considered Mickey's 86th birthday!
