1. Her Thoughts About Your Friends or Significant Other

Chances are, if your mom doesn't like your newest bestie or the person you're currently dating, you should hear her out. Moms can sense when people are bad seeds or heartbreakers. Heed their warning of these toxic people before it's too late.

2. Her Reminder to Take Good Care of Yourself

Your mom was certainly right to nag you about eating the most important meal of the day or wearing sunscreen when you hit the beach, but did you listen to her? Of course not. Honestly, you should. It will only pay off in the long run.

3. Her Continual Advising on Going to Bed at a Decent Hour

Sure, you want to stay up in the wee hours of the morning scrolling through your Instagram feed and watching all the Snapchat Stories your heart desires, but you need your rest. You'll thank her when you're able to get up for school in the morning with less snooze button hits than usual!

4. Her Weariness About Getting a Pet

Adopting that sweet little puppy you saw in the window may have you believing all your dreams will come true, but you and your mom both know who's going to be the one taking care of it. Don't adopt until you truly are prepared to give an animal the attention and affection it deserves.

6. Her Urge for You to Stand Out

Every single mom has uttered that cliché saying, "Just because everybody else is doing it, doesn't mean you should, too." As much as it pains us to admit this, she's right. Trying to fit in is only going to backfire. Be a unicorn among horses.

7. Her Constant Compliments
