Everything You Wanted to Know About ‘home’ Singer-Songwriter MORGXN

Nashville singer-songwriter MORGXN has been on quite the musical journey, and the release of his third studio album, BEACON, promises to be his biggest career move yet.

After releasing his first album in 2018, he went independent in 2020 during the pandemic and finally hit his viral stride with major hits "home" and "wonder." Last year, he returned to his hometown of Nashville and began recording his new album, writing more than a hundred songs before landing on the tracks making the most impact, including the title track "Beacon," the dancey "Modern Man" and anthemic "Young & In Love." Last week, he released his uplifting new single, "My Revival," featuring an anthemic choir and sharing the power for the great triumphs we can experience in rising out of tough times, and finally,  BEACON drops on Feb. 2, 2024. "This is reminding me of Mean Girls, and now I want to answer to be that my favorite day is Tuesday, because it's not Monday, but it's not as stressful as Thursday, and you can make plans and know that people are free usually on Tuesdays."

"Well, there is too much in history that would probably be the end of me and many of the people I love, so I'm gonna choose this decade I'm in now, because I'm fighting to make it a more equitable place for all right now…"

"There are a lot of them, and I can't stop refreshing and responding."

9. He calls his upcoming album, Beacon, "a dream album."

"One that I got to make in my hometown with a real band in the studio. No one would let me do that at my last label, and I've been fighting to get to this point. I was dropped by my last label at the start of the pandemic, and that's when Billie Eilish tweeted about my song 'home,' went independent and went viral with my song 'wonder.' And this album really feels like "My Revival" (pun intended). I put my heart and soul into making this, and I hope it becomes something that helps people through their own journey."

10. One thing he's really worked on lately is becoming a better listener.

"While people tend to scream into a void, I've been sharpening my listening skills, and I'm really proud of that."
