Move Your Body Campaign Aims To Get Kids To Get Up and Move!
On May 1, the 3rd annual Move Your Body exercise event is taking place in New York City and Los Angeles!
This morning, "Move Your Body" released a PSA featuring celebs including Austin Mahone, Carly Rae Jepsen, Bella Thorne, Mindless Behavior and more, all encouraging kids to get up and dance to improve their health!
The program is run by the WAT-AAH! Foundation, a bottled water company that promotes physical activity and health to help end childhood obesity. Their bottled water is enhanced with nutrients, but no color or flavor. "Move Your Body" supports First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" initiative!
On May 1st, schools all over the country in cities including Washington D.C., Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, San Diego, Phoenix, Portland and Jacksonville will get up and move at 1:42PM Eastern time and 10:42am Pacific time.
The PSA is accompanied by a song by Beyoncé called "Move Your Body," created to encourage health by having listeners get up and follow the song's dance instructions!
"Thanks to the kids, Move Your Body has taken on a life of its own," says Rose Cameron, WAT-AAH!'s "The WAT-AAH! Foundation is committed to facilitating this event for the thousands of participating students, acknowledging their hard work and their desire to live healthy lives. It has become more than a fun, well-choreographed exercise routine with great music, it is a celebration of the children's efforts to stay healthy and the WAT-AAH! Foundation will not abandon them. May 1 is the day we celebrate the children and applaud their efforts."
