10 Big Things Happening in Music the Week of Sep. 18, 2020
One of the upsides to being in quarantine is actually having the time and energy to listen to new music.
Instead of having music playing in the background while you're in the car or out with friends, these days, you can actually sit down and really ruminate. This week, the music industry did not disappoint, as they gave us some pretty incredible releases. Keep reading to find out the ten big things happening in music the week of Sep. 18, 2020:
1. Kygo Releases Remix of Donna Summers' 'Hot Stuff' + Music Video
Not only did Kygo create an incredible version of the hit classic, "Hot Stuff," but he also worked on a video featuring everyone's favorite real-life couple from the Netflix original Outer Banks. John B and Sarah Cameron, AKA Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline, show off their adorable and flirty dancing skills, making us want to get up and dance to Kygo's latest creation. This song is definitely going to be on everyone's party playlist this fall.
2. B.o.B Releases Music Video for 'Dirt'
Six-time Grammy nominee B.o.B. just dropped his latest album, Somnia, last week. It's pretty clear that fans were excited about the release, because within the first 24 hours, there were already over one million streams. Today, he gave fans even more with the unveiling of the music video for his popular track, "Dirt". The video takes place at a "twerk camp" of sorts, and we're sure it's only going to gain more traction from here.
3. GRAMMY Museum Launches Official Streaming Service COLLECTION:live
We all know of the prestigious Grammy Awards, so isn't it about time its greatest stars came up with their own platform? Well, the wait is officially over with GRAMMY Museum's launch of the official streaming service, COLLECTION:live. The platform will host original artist interviews, live streams and special performances. It's set to feature artists including Billie Eilish, Selena Gomez, Glass Animals and more.
4. Phil Good Releases Single and Music Video for 'Falling'
If you're unfamiliar with singer-songwriter Phil Good, let us put him on your radar. He just released the breakup-inspired song, "Falling," and it's already proven to be a hit. The music video itself was shot during quarantine and is actually quite fun to watch. In a press release, Phil said: "I love that this video gets across the emotion of the song, but also doesn't take itself too seriously."

"Gaslight," the latest song from her upcoming EP Paranoia, is all about ditching the person who has manipulated you. 6. All Time Low's 'Monsters' ft. Blackbear Hits #1 On Alternative Radio
If you listen to alternative music on the radio, we guarantee you've heard the hit song "Monsters" ft. Blackbear by All Time Low. It's the type of song you can't help but sing along and dance to, so it comes as no surprise that they just topped as #1 on alternative radio. The song comes from their latest album Wake Up Sunshine, which is currently available for streaming.
7. Sasha Sloan Releases New Track 'Is It Just Me?'
Sasha Sloan just released the latest track, "Is It Just Me", from her upcoming album Only Child. The lyrics are not only relatable, but they're almost dream-like. In an interview with Sweety High, when asked about the album's creation, Sasha said: "For this album, it was interesting because I'm super in love and life is not bad. And then the pandemic happened. It's definitely multifaceted in the sense that they're not all just love songs."

Young rapper duo ZaeHD & CEO released their new music video for the popular song "NERVOUS!" Featuring sports cars, boats and interesting graphics, this music video is sure to pull you in. 9. Flo Milli Releases Music Video for 'Send the Addy/May I'
Flo Milli just dropped the music video to her song "Send the Addy/May I" and we could not be more excited. The video itself features the rapper in scandalously cute outfits while cruising around in decked out cars. This comes as part of her latest drop on her album Ho Why Is You Here, which is officially out now!
10. Carson Rowland Drops New Single 'Disappear' ft. Taylor Castro
Singer and actor Carson Rowland just dropped his latest single featuring Taylor Castro, "Disappear." It's the type of song you need to grove to—it's that vibey! As part of his upcoming EP, this song is just one of the tracks that we're already obsessed with.
